"All these answers are wrong

"All these answers are wrong."

"So?" I said, taking a bite of my sandwich.

Yuna was going through my math homework, marking everything I got wrong. This might be the one good thing coming from helping her. She does my math homework for me.

We were sitting on the roof eating lunch. I don't know why she told me to meet her on the roof, but I complied. I sat eating my sandwich while she flipped through my workbook. Her face screamed disappointment as she read my answers.

"How'd you even get this one wrong?" She pointed at one of the questions. "They literally gave you the answer." She shook her head vigorously as she erased all my work. "You're not even following the steps."

Finally getting fed up, I groaned. "Why are we up here? I wanted to eat with the guys."

"Because I need to practice." Yuna rolled her eyes at my groaning.

"Well, you've only been judging me since we got here."

Yuna closed my workbook and shoved it back at me. "Fine, but don't ask me for help with your homework again." She pouted.

"Alright, so what's your plan? You're going to give him your letter, the gift, and then...?"

"Say I like you." She finished my sentence.

"That's it?"

She shrugged, "Well, what else am I supposed to say?"

"More. I don't know. It just feels like it's missing something."

"Ugh!" She groaned, taking a seat on the floor.

"It's fine. I doubt you'll be able to say more than three words when you confess anyways." I laughed, and she sent dagger straight my way. "This is the easiest method."

"Kai!" She hit me in the shoulder. "Can you please be serious?" By the look on her face, I could tell she was struggling.

"Fine." I sighed. "Why don't we practice now?" I stood up.

"How would we do that?"

"I'll be Yeonjun. Confess to me."

"Kai, this is dumb."

"Well, I don't trust you'll confess, right." I snapped. "I don't want all my hard work wasted. This is valuable time I won't get back. Now get up."

Yuna did very so. She took a deep breath and turned toward me. "Yeonjun..." She paused. "I liked you for a really long time. Please accept my feelings."

"No, that sounds too formal."

"Isn't it a formal confession?"

"You make it seem like you and Yeonjun are strangers. Be more comfortable." I grabbed Yuna's arms and released the fist she was making. "You can't be this tense."

"I'm nervous. I can't help it." She pouted.

"Try again."

"I like you."

"That's it?" I chuckled. "Too simple. You look like you don't care."

"I don't see you confessing to your crush?" Yuna glared at me.

"Well, that's because I don't have one. Now, be serious. Speak from your heart and tell me how you feel."

Yuna took a deep breath. "Yeonjun, I like you. I know you're graduating soon, and I wanted to tell you this before it's too late.

"Still formal, but it works." I sighed and took a seat on the ground. I let out an enormous yawn. "Why do you even like Yeonjun?"

"Because!" She said it like it was obvious. She took a seat down next to me. "He's perfect."

I chuckled. "Perfect. That guy is nowhere near perfect."

"Do you ever look at someone and get nervous."

"No, not really. I don't think I've ever had a crush on someone."

"Whenever Yeonjun is around, I feel safe. I just always want to be around him. I know he will take care of me. He makes me shy and nervous. I just want to," she paused.

"You want to?"

"Punch something." Yuna suddenly punched my arm. "He's just so amazing it shouldn't be allowed. I get so angry when he interacts with other girls in the building."

"Alright, don't take your feelings out on me." I rubbed my arm and pouted.

"Sorry, I just get really worked up."

"I can tell," I rolled my eyes. "Come on, let's head back down. The bell is about to ring any minute."

Yuna smiled. She stood up and started to collect her trash. We started heading down the roof stairs. As we walked down the hallway, just our luck, Yeonjun was there talking to a girl.

I watched as Yuna's smile slowly faded. I gently nudged her, "Relax."

Yeonjun said goodbye to the girl and turned. When he caught a glimpse of us, he smiled widely and waved.

He headed over to us. "Hey, guys. Why weren't you in the cafeteria today?"

"We were studying." I lied. "Who was that you were talking to?" I gestured towards the girl still walking down the hall.

Yeonjun turned his head and then turned back. "Yeji?" He smiled. "She's in my dance club. She missed practice and was asking for the choreography."

I nodded. I looked towards Yuna, who didn't look sad anymore but was now mad.

"Shoot. I think I forgot something on the roof. Head to class with Yeonjun." I turned toward Yuna and smiled.

Yuna looked like she wanted to say something, but I walked off before she could.
