"You drew stars around my scars, but now I'm bleeding"
Steve was sitting there alone, letting the cool wind of the ocean wash him off.
He had a lit joint was between his lips, inhaling it fast, forgetting the memory. He could feel the drug settle in his body, he enjoyed it, he let himself wash away so easily, all of the past, Anna, Angie.
Fuck, Angie. He missed her more then anything, he craved her touch, her lips, her body. He missed her laugh and her sweet whispers. But some things were bound to break, he knew that.
Angie was never at the roof of the house before, surprised at how pretty this place is. It was going downhill, the dark red bricks surrounding the place with a perfect view to the beach, it was colder up here, salty air and the smell of weed was all around.
She took a second to breath, preparing herself before stepping up from the ladder on to the roof.
She let out a chuckle, seeing Steve sitting there by himself, his head thrown back and smoke pouring out of his mouth.
"Hi" she said, almost in a whisper. Steve jumped, turning his head to her. He looked at her for a minute before turning back to the view and took another puff of his joint.
"Hey" he said back.
She took a few steps forward to him, afraid to move too much. "Can I sit here?" Angie asked, jerking her head towards the red blanket he was sitting on.
He nodded. Angie set down besides him, still keeping distance. He handed her the joint, still not catching her eyes, she took it gratefully off his hands, taking a puff.
Angie looked at him, the sun was almost completely down over the sea. The darkness surrounding them, his face were shining with the last of light. She couldn't help but smile at his view. His eyes, his lips, she missed him more then she could ever explain in words.
"I'm sorry" she said, shaking her head. "I'm sorry for not telling you about Anna. I'm sorry for the handcuffs. I'm sorry for being selfish"
Steve let out a soft laugh. He looked at her for the first time in a long time and their eyes caught each other, sad expressions on their faces.
"Don't be. It's the past" he mumbled, taking the joint off her hands and taking another puff.
"We would never work. We knew that from the start. Right?" Angie whispered, the tears chocking her throat again, she moved her eyes away from him. As much as she didn't want to admit it, it was the truth.
"Angeli don't say that"
"Steve..."
"Angeli. Look at me" he whispered,
He pulled her head towards his, his two fingers on her chin, tilting her head a bit up so their eyes met again.
She could feel her stomach flip from the way he whispered her name, she missed it so much.
"I've never liked anyone as much as I liked you" he whispered to her.
"And fuck, I've dated so many girls in the past. And you? I hated you Angeli, you threw me off, you didn't want me. and geez each and every one of the girls in Hawkins would do anything for me" Angie let out a chuckle with his words.
"And for years I've been waiting for something to happen, And this summer, it's all been so perfect, you have, us, this. it's too good to be real, it's been bound to break"
Angie could feel the tears falling of her cheeks now, Steve reached his hands softly, cleaning them off of her pretty cheeks.
Steve got his hands off her, he raised his sleeve, showing her a small white scar on the side of his arm. Angie looked at him confused "what-"
"You did this to me. Freshman year, you got mad at me for hitting Jonathan Byers, you pinched me so fucking bad, Angeli" he laughed. Angie couldn't help but laugh as well. And this was the first time she felt comfortable with him again in a long time, almost like they could be, friends, again?
"I'm so sorry" she laughed.
"Don't be. It's my favourite part of myself" Steve said, the last bit almost in more of a whisper.
She looked up at him with her eyes, he gave her a soft smile back.
"I'm going back to college in a month. I'll miss you" she whispered.
"You are with me, always" he whispered back, showing her his scar she left on him. She laughed, he did too.
They let a moment of silence be, their soft breaths filling the air. The wind washed Angie's hair around, leaving them spun and high, their breaths mixed with their soft laughs.
Angie looked at Steve, who was already looking at her.
"Just a summer thing. Right?" She asked, a soft smile on her face.
"Just a summer thing" Steve replied.
Angie didn't think about it more, and only seconds later her hands went in Steve's hair, and her lips fell into his, his hands wrapping her waist.
Their lips moved in union, their tongues mixing with each other. Steve let out a groan into her lips, missing her sweet taste on his.
Single seconds later Angie's shirt went off over her head, and she climbed over Steve, who laid backwards, his hands opening her pants buttons, and removing it off of her, his lips still stuck on hers.
Steve's clothes were off in a second, and he flipped Angie around, so he was over now. Angie let out a moan, as much as this position was uncomfortable and the roof wasn't her ideal place, she couldn't give it less thought, as she was craving Steve so much.
"Fuck Angeli" he moaned, his lips travelling down to her neck, sucking on it and leaving love marks all over her. She bit her lip, throwing her head back.
He couldn't wait anymore, his body needing hers, and he removed her underwear off her in a swift move. Entering himself into her slowly, his eyes stuck on hers.
Angie closed her eyes in enjoyment, a loud moan escaping her lips, making them into a O shape as Steve pushed himself fully into her.
Their hips rolled against each other in perfect union, filling what they have been missing for the past few days. Soft moans and breaths leaving their lips who were stuck together.
Angie reached to Steve's neck, leaving marks on him, more and more scars he gladly took from her, he would let her scar his whole body if she asked, he'd do absolutely anything for her.
Her fingers dug into his back, moans leaving her lips as she came, Steve only minutes after her.
They spent their night with their bodies wrapped around each other, scared to let go as they might lose each other again.
