It was rare that Billie spent a moment alone, not that she liked it, the brunette hated to be alone. But sometimes she enjoyed small moments where she had peace and quiet, but that did not necessarily mean she had to be alone.

That morning was one of those moments, Steve had gotten to her house earlier, like Billie requested, and now they enjoyed the few moments they had of peace before school started. Steve had driven them to the woods close to Hawkins High School, which wasn't far, considering the small town is surrounded by big trees and leaves. And the two friends had decided to relax the best way they could, by smoking while on the hood of Steve Harrington's car.

"Are you sure everything is good?" Steve asked, passing his friend the blunt.

The brunette didn't bother to look at her friend, she simply took a hit of the blunt, blowing smoke in the air and nodding her head, "yeah. Just this whole Byers thing gave me the chills."

"Come on, the kid is fine, he probably is just hiding somewhere, got sick of his family or something like that," Steve reassured his friend the best way he could. The boy took the final hit of his blunt before jumping off the hood. "Alright, we have to go," he announced, helping his friend off his hood.

The two got into the car, a peaceful silence still surrounded them, but the brunette knew that the silence and peace would end as soon as they arrived at their school. So Billie enjoyed the moment, windows open, and the soft music that played in the background. She laid her head on the window, smiling at the orange trees and the winter flowers that were starting to grow.

"How high are you?" Steve asked, laughing at his friend.

"Enough to help me get through this day," she responded, closing the window as Steve pulled up in the high school parking lot.

"Well, look at the good side, we can get drunk today," Steve referred to the small party he would have later that day.

Billie looked at her friend before she opened the door of the car, "we need a lot of alcohol," she prolonged her 'o' as she got out of the car and looked at Tommy and Carol walking towards them.

"King Steve!" Tommy threw his arms up, shouting his friend's name.

"Nice shirt," Carol said to Billie. The brunette couldn't bother to think of an elaborate outfit after the night she had. The girl wore a large pink long sleeved shirt, boyfriend jeans, and her white Nike's, but she knew that Carol would complement her even if she were a trash bag over her bag.

"Thanks C," the Mora girl said, as the two walked inside of the school.

Once the teens were inside, Tommy and Steve jogged to catch up with the girls, the first boy placing his arm around his girlfriend. "I still can't believe they allowed the Freak Munson to have his own club," Tommy nodded towards a long haired boy in a leather jacket.
