A Light Supper

" Diego, this is a setup." 

" Maybe. But we should go anyway." 

" Baby, I don't know about this."

" Says the guy who's already been stabbed once this week."

" Oh, don't worry, me and him are gonna have words."

" Would you tell him that he's nuts?"

" Vanya, of all people, you should hate dad the most."

" Come on, can he really be that bad?"

" Okay, well let's see. He isolated you from the rest of the family."

" Kept you hopped up on pills." Diego tries stuffing his shirt in his pants but makes a mess. I give Gigi to Vanya and get up to help him.

" And he brainwashed you into thinking you had no powers."

" Therefore bringing the infamous 2019 apocalypse. How's that Vanny? Ready."

" Thank you angel." Diego kisses me and Luther groans. 

" Guys..."

" Stop, I mean they're kinda cute. Showing so much affection."

" Yeah back to dad Vanya." Luther says. 

" Oh, yeah. Jesus this guy. I mean come on I have to meet him." 

" You already know how this is gonna go. Dad is gonna play all his little mind games on us, get into our heads, and he's gonna turn us all against each other. You watch." 

" Luther we're not 12 anymore. We're grown ass men, and women. And a cute little baby, come here."

" Your daughter's got you wrapped around her finger." I laugh. 

" Yeah, so does his wife." Luther comments.

" Luther..."

" Hey, hey, we can handle him. Wanna know what's different this time?"

" What's that?" 

" You got me. And y/n. We go in there as a united front. No more 'Number One', 'Number Two' bullshit. From now on, we're... team zero."

Diego holds Gigi and we take a taxi to dad's place. I'm kind of anxious going there. I mean even if it's not a setup like Luther says, seeing dad again after so many years, that's going to be something.
