"Can I join you at lunch?" Cameron asked. Being the civilized and concerned citizen that I am, I nodded smiling. Don't get the wrong idea that I like him like that but he seemed to be a good friend.

I fish out my phone from my pocket and happened to see a new notification from the SIA. I had forgotten to read the other one last time.

SIA App: 1 Unread Notification

Martha: We were reviewing the footage that got saved in your glasses and we came across someone. Call me when you read this.

"Sorry, man. But she's with me during lunch," a voice said, placing an arm around my shoulders and I instantly knew who it was. My head snapped at the figure beside me, my eyes turning into slits. He wasn't even looking at me instead his eyes were directed at Cameron and as if they were communicating non-verbally, they were looking at each other like they were going to rip each other's heads off. Sensing that a new argument was going to be formed.

I removed Wade's arm around me and replied, "Okay, now I won't be eating lunch with the both of you. I'll be with Ella, bye boys!"

I zoomed my way towards the hall and saw the familiar figure standing by next to my locker. She and I were a few lockers apart.

"Hi, Ella! Let's go grab some lunch later," I asked as I held on to her arm. She nodded and smiled at me and we both walk towards the next class just as the bell rings.

"Wait! Wait for me!" Cameron yelled as he sprinted to my side. I glanced behind me and saw the retreating figure of Wade going in the opposite direction but was soon blocked by Cameron's figure.

I took a seat in the middle portion of the room with Ella beside me. Mrs. Gregory came into the picture and she started talking about math. I could feel her staring and grinning at me so I turned to look at her.

"Do you need something?" I asked while smiling. Ella grinned and moved over to me and whispered, "Are you a sex god?" Excuse me?! Shocked by her question, "What?!" I shouted across the room.

"Ms. Jones, is there anything you would like to share with the class?" Mrs. Gregory asked displeased by my behavior while shrugging her head in disappointment. I muttered, "Nothing, sorry ma'am, won't happen again," I answered with a nervous smile. She turned around and continued discussing.

I look over at Ella who was silently chuckling. "What made you ask that?" I said with wide eyes. She has got to be kidding me.

"I heard everyone talking about you during class," she said as she motions for me to lean closer. "They keep saying it's either you have something to blackmail them or that you seek help from a shaman and have some kind of magical talisman, that's why Wade and Cameron are always with you," she whispered. What's up with people and gossip? I almost wanted to laugh at what I just heard but maintained my composure.

"They love to bother and annoy the hell out of me, and why would they like me?" I am a nerd, for god's sake. This isn't some kind of typical teen romance where the nerd and the school's most popular boy end up together and get married in the end. I roll my eyes at the thought. "Don't worry, they just won't stop bothering me and they definitely don't like me, I'm like charity," I explained recalling that I had to keep up with my disguise and school reputation as the ugliest nerd in school. She chuckled and shook her head.

Huh. Like she knows something.

At lunchtime, I looked for a place where I can see the whole cafeteria, and at the same time, the cafeteria won't see me. I wave at Ella who just came from the restroom to sit over where I was sitting.
