I resisted the urge to groan since my ex-best friend was actually working for the enemy.
"What the hell, Jessi? Out of all the places, it had to be now," he groaned as he ran a hand through his hair. "Sorry. But I have a job to do," he said with a flash of guilt in his eyes as he charged toward me.
"Damn it, Tyler," I glared at him and sidestepped to avoid his attack on me. "But I didn't know you were sloppy, whatever happened to the small, toothed Ty-Ty?" I mocked as I threw a punch at his gut. I heard him groan as he attempted to punch me again.
I could tell he was pretty much not that advanced based on the moves he was throwing at me. Anyone who can fight could really tell how much practice and training one did.
"Whatever, Jessi. Please don't get in my way," he pleaded as he corner me towards the wall and grabbed both my arms at the sides. "Let go of me, Ty," I struggled to remove myself from his grasp and I saw at the corner of my eye, 56th...57th...
I quickly kneed him where the sun doesn't shine and he immediately fell to the floor. Just as on cue, the elevator opened on the 58th floor. I ran my way towards room 596 and saw a big man dressed in a tuxedo guard the outside room.
I made my way towards the front of the room and the man looked at me. "For Mr. Echo," I said and he stepped aside for me to enter the room. Once I was inside, there was no one. Rather, there was a big brown envelope closed securely resting on the marble table across the living room. I grabbed it and made my way out.
"Thanks," I muttered as I quickly make my way towards the stairs. By now, Tyler must be looking for me and is planning to get this document out of my hands so I avoided his route, which was the elevator. Once I got on the 51st floor, I decided to use another elevator and made my way down towards the basement.
It was just about time that I exited the elevator and made a run toward the black car that was parked right up the corner.
Not until I heard a deafening sound. Randomly fired gunshots. I glanced at my back to see other armed men screaming their way toward me. "Shit!" I shouted as I take cover behind a wall. "Where are you guys?!" I shouted, in panic as I franticly look to my left for a black car.
"We're on the right, you idiot!" I heard Mark shout from the earpiece and a black car across me flashed lights. Damn it, I had to cross.
I take a peek and saw that the guys were nearing me. I took a deep breath and made a run for my life. As soon as I stepped out of the wall I was hiding behind, I ran towards the car parked across, trying to avoid the bullets that were fired on my right. I rolled, cartwheeled and dodged them, all the while trying not to get the envelope I was holding get crumpled.
Once I got inside, Martha stepped on the gas and made our way towards the exit.
"Fuck, that was close," I exhaled as I took a seat back and examined if the document was in one piece. I sighed in relief as I saw the document intact and handed it over to Mark.
Once I raised my arm to hand it over to Mark, I felt a painful burning sting resonating on my right upper arm. It was bleeding. "What the fuck?!" I shouted at my bleeding arm. I hadn't noticed this earlier and it was probably because of adrenaline.
I weakened at the horrible sight of blood. If it would have been other people, then I wouldn't have been like this but if it's from me...
"Hey, Jess, are you okay?" I faintly heard Martha ask in a worried voice before I slowly drifted off and let darkness welcome me.

Where am I?
I stood up from the cold hard ground and looked around the place. There were a lot of rusty rides and this was probably an abandoned amusement park. I shivered. This place gives me creeps! In the corner of my eye, I saw a big tent with a sign saying, DO NOT ENTER. But because of curiosity, I went in and the sight of creepy horses and caterpillars greeted me.
