real life

"I am literally in love with this girl."

"I am literally in love with this man."

Joe and Clem sighed to their friends, Joe with Quinn, Jamie, Dacre, and Charlie, Clem, just doors down, with Natalia and Maya.

"So, what is stopping you?" Maya asked, "you went on a whole date with him today."

Clem sighed. It just wasn't that easy. Even the cast and crew of Stranger Things admitted they were in a lull right now, keeping the secrets of volume 2 under wraps. What if Joe was just bored? And - truth be told, Clem knew that she only had two more weeks. This little dream would be over. She'd go back to Louisiana,  back to her little private academy by August. She'd eat the same breakfast everyday, she'd say good morning to the same students, and teach the same thing - day after day. And she loved it, she thought. But she'd now gotten a taste of LA life, a taste of freedom. She could be what she wanted here. She could find a teaching job at a school that offered her more long term stability. She could find a job that offered benefits, plans, insurance, and more. Or, doing what she really loved - her cooking channel. Maybe it would blow up in LA, she could network with the right people. She could finally settle down and find a place of her own - that wasn't her little Louisiana town.

LA wasn't like the LA she knew. The LA she knew was a little southern town, where everyone had the same doctor and dentist and everyone knew everyone's gossip. Her grandfather was the town preacher and her grandmother was town-renowned for her banana bread. And she loved it, really, but lately it was starting to feel like life on a loop, a never ending repeating cycle.

But there was one slight delay in her big plans. She had no one to share it with. At the end of the month, the cast and crew she'd grown to love would head on with their lives, filming their next big hits for the big screen, singing in big concerts, and doing what famous people did. They'd forget all about the little southern girl that kept them entertained for the summer with her funny accent - which Joe never let her forget she had.

"I just don't know if she feels the same man, I mean, she just accepts everything with the most graceful smile. I never thought people from the south could be so - genuine. And like, not assholes. She cares about social justice, she cares about culture, like she has such an open mind - she knows she's not an expert on everything, but she wants to educate herself everyday. Like - who freakin knew?" Joe plopped on the bed, looking at the boys across from him.

"Mate, sounds like you are serious about her and the few times I've been around, there's no denying she feels the same way." Dacre pointed out, Jamie and Charlie agreeing on the matter.

"Amazing, love. What a woman. So happy for you," Jamie shook his head, planting a kiss on Joe's head. Thinking of all of Joe's antics on set last year, Jamie chuckled. When filming season 4, Joe talked nonstop about finding the right woman. What made it extra hilarious is that he did so when Jamie was in full Vecna costume. It made for an extra funny heart-to-heart. And it seemed like Joe had finally found his woman.

"If you don't ask her out I'm going to shave your head off in your sleep - so the Brothers get pissed and you have to wear a wig. Trust me bro, you do not want to do that. They're itchy as hell," Joe Quinn pointed out, causing Joe Keery to look at him in horror.

"Fine. I'll bite the bullet." Joe grabbed his phone, rolling over on the bed and drafting his text message a million different ways.
