writers block claimed me once again not fully over it but whaddup yall i'm back with even worse chapter names then i thought i could create

Waterfall was warm. Yay. I loved warm and not cold things.

Well, it wasn't REALLY warm but it was not-cold so that was nice. I liked not-cold things a lot more now that I can't wear a coat.

I really really liked not-cold things.

Frisk caught up shortly. That was nice! I also liked Frisk! Frisk wasn't cold! Well, she normally wasn't cold but she was shivering a bit.

"Alright, Waterfall!" Frisk said happily.

"Yay. Halfway done," Asriel snarkily replied. Way to ruin the atmosphere!

"Okay so we just need to get past Undyne, somehow, and then we can stop worrying about her?" Frisk asked.

"Seems about right!" I nodded. Frisk rocked on the back of her heels.

"Ohh this is stressful. Maybe I shouldn't have come here in the first place... But at least I met you two!"

And there I was! Once again a blushing mess!

"Yeah that's definitely an upside," I said as I am clearly the best and I was happy that Frisk recognised that fact.

Frisk walked over to the edge and ran her hand through the waterfalls.

"Wow, the waterfalls around here are really pretty," Frisk said. They weren't the best thing ever but I couldn't deny they were cool from an outsider's perspective.

"I think you should try staying out of the water until you warm up," I pointed out.

"But the water is warm!" She complained, "though I guess we have to get moving. Can't wait!"

Frisk skipped off ahead and I prepared myself when Asriel cleared his throat.

"Actually, can you wait a second? I've been thinking..." Asriel said as his face flushed, "unless you're busy, of course. I know you need to catch up to Frisk-"

"It's fine, go on. Frisk can wait," I said. He sighed.

"I remember we had a fight, and I just... I don't know how that happened. I just can't understand!" Asriel growled, "it makes no sense, you get what I mean?" His claws clenched into fists.

"I... Don't get what you mean actually. I mean, both of us went through a lot of stuff. And empathy isn't exactly your strong suit," I pointed out dully. Asriel sighed.

"Whatever. I'll figure it out. Go catch up to Frisk."

"Okay..." I said unsurely, "but if you ever need someone to talk to. I mean, I'm currently kinda stuck to you if you haven't noticed."

Asriel rolled his eyes.

"Alright, what exactly am I supposed to do here?" Frisk put one of the bridge seeds on her head, in order to hold another one. It seemed a little uncomfortable and messed up her hair a little more but it was convenient to carry around.

"I know this one! You gotta go down to the bridge down there and- Wait, didn't you already do this? Last time? HEY! Stop ignoring me!" Asriel fumed.

"Az is right. You did this last time, what's the problem," I pointed out. Frisk shrugged.

"Dunno. This puzzle is dumb," Frisk the oh so wise said. I rolled my eyes.

"It shouldn't be??? Because you already did it???" Asriel clenched his claws into fists, "are you just that dumb???" Asriel's voice had a sort of biting tone to it. Something that was at least very not-nice and mean.
"Hey! That's not nice! I'm not gonna ask you to apologise because you can-"

Asriel whipped around and turned at me.

"Oh my GOSH I am so SICK OF YOU TWO! Stop pretending like you're- You're- That much better! You only keep me around because you're stuck with me I get it shut up! You two just want to have your private alone time to do whatever weird humans do when they're hanging out in an underground kingdom." Asriel turned around and faced a Frisk who was already very shocked please don't shout at her too she doesn't need that right now- "FRISK! This is all YOUR fault! Guess what!? Your dumb decisions have consequences. Do you get it now!? DO YOU!?" Asriel screamed. He took a quick breath, that seemed more to be for the action of doing it then necessity, before sighing.

"Whatever, if you need me... Don't." Asriel finished. He rather quickly went underground and his incorporeal form disappeared.

I redirected my attention back to Frisk. Frisk. There were tears in her eyes.

"Chara... Am I..?" She forgot everything about codenames and secrecy but for a minute it didn't seem to matter.

"Frisk. Everyone does dumb things. Don't worry about it. He's just a... He's just SOULLESS, kid."

"Then why does everyone keep LEAVING ME! First my sister, then my parents split up 'cause CLEARLY they didn't want to spend any more time with me then they had to and now Asriel! C'mon, Chara, if I'm really not dumb why does everyone avoid me!" She yelled. The tears were streaming down her face now, "please Chara. Tell me why!"

"Honestly? They're missing out," I said, "if you were really annoying I would leave you the second you RESET. But I didn't. Because you've very not dumb and not annoying," I claimed, "besides. No one is avoiding you. Except Asriel. All of those other things seem to be avoiding other people, and you're just... Caught in the crossfire. It's just the way things happen," I would have shrugged if I could.

"Yeah... I guess... Ugh..." Frisk sighed, "so I have to line all of the bridge seeds up like..." Frisk went back and grabbed the other two.

"Hey. Don't let what he said get to you. He's just mad and can't help it, 'k?" I insisted. I really didn't care if Asriel could hear me. I kinda wished he could. If only my SOUL could affect him the same sort of way it affects me and he could care and stuff that would be really nice.

It was true that Frisk made a slightly-turned-very annoying decision by attaching my SOUL to him but honestly the worst bit was that it wasn't working. I wish he wasn't a meanie soulless flower. I just want him to be happy again. And not that mean-happy he had when he wasn't bored during all of his timelines, but happy-happy like he was with me all that time ago.

I couldn't let him hear those sappy thoughts and so to prevent them from leaking out, I just sucked it up and went to focus on all the puzzles Frisk seemingly forgot how to do.
