"S-So then! This is the point in the film where-where!" Alphys studdered off. Undyne giggled.

"C'mon Alphys! You can't spoil this!" Undyne said. Alphys nervously giggled.

"S-sorry," Alphys said. Undyne grinned.

"But seriously, this film is just so cool!" Undyne said. Alphys nodded and avoided looking in the same direction as Undyne.

Undyne saw something moving in the corner of her eye.

"Huh?" Undyne said. She got up and walked over to the big screen downstairs.

"Huh? Waa!" Alphys studdered as she got up and ran after Undyne.

"Is that... A human!" Undyne growled.

"It-it looks like it! Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!" Alphys stuttered.

"And is that... Papyrus?" Undyne asked. Alphys zoomed in.

"I-It seems so!"

"Dang it! I need to call him. Sorry, Alph."

Undyne scrolled through her phone until she found Papyrus' contact, "REALLY COOL SKELETON NYEH!!" and speedialed him. The Papyrus on the screen picked up the phone.

"WHY HELLO UNDYNE!"

"Papyrus, this is no time for pleasentaries. That thing with you. That's a human! You're supposed to capture it!"

"OH! I ALREADY KNEW SHE WAS A HUMAN! DON'T WORRY, FRISK IS HARMLESS!!! NYEH HEH HEH!!!"

"Frisk?"

"THAT'S HER NAME, OF COURSE."

"HUMANS don't deserve names!"

"WELL FRISK HAS A NAME, I CAN'T UNNAME FRISK!"

"Ughh... Papyrus!"

"YES?"

"Besides, shouldn't you be capturing IT?"

"WHY WOULD I DO THAT? FRISK IS HARMLESS!"

"Ugg! Do I need to spell it out for you-? Nevermind. I'm coming over."

Undyne hung up the phone and looked at Alphys.

"Sorry I have to go. See you later!" Undyne called out to Alphys.

"Y-Yeah... See you..."

Undyne felt her heart sting as she left.

"Duty comes first," she said to herself when she knew she knew she was out of earshot.

Duty comes first.

"AHH FRISK, I THINK IT'S TIME TO GO. MAYBE IF WE TAKE THE RIVERPERSON WE CAN GET TO HOTLANDS AND THE-" Papyrus said, before looking at the tears in the human's eyes.

"...You knew I was human. And you lied. You said I was like anyother monster, why?"

"WELL..."

Papyrus knew why, he just didn't know how to put it into words.

"...I GUESS SANS SAID YOU WERE A MONSTER, AND I FIGURED YOU WANTED TO KEEP IT SECRET FOR SOME REASON! SO I ACTED LIKE YOU WERE A MONSTER BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT YOU WANTED!"

"How long have you known," Frisk asked. Papyrus let out a "NYEH" before shutting his mouth.

"WELL, NO MONSTER LOOKS LIKE YOU. I WAS PRETTY SURE OF IT BUT UNDYNE JUST CONFIRMED IT?"

"King Asgore said all humans must be captured and have their SOUL taken. Let's just move," Flowey said. Papyrus nodded.

"EXACTLY!" Papyrus lifted the small human up and put her on his shoulders. Frisk giggled as she held onto the small flower. Papyrus ran through snowdin forest, though he would have to come back here with Frisk later. There were so many puzzles she'll miss!

Once he got to Snowdin Town he skidded to a stop and placed Frisk down.

"THERE!"

"Woah! The town is so pretty!"

"We probably shouldn't stay out in the open. It would be best if we would get inside," Flowey said. Papyrus nodded.

"WELL, NOT IN MY HOUSE. HMM... WHERE WOULD BE A TOTALLY HIDDEN SAFE PLACE TO GO?"

"how 'bout the shed?" Sans said, loudly sipping from a glass of water.

"SANS! WHERE DID YOU COME FROM! AND WHERE'S THIS MYSTICAL "SHED" YOU SPEAK ABOUT?" Papyrus put his hand to his chin.

"the shed behind our house, duh."

"WE DON'T HAVE A SHED."

"see? no one will find it," Sans shrugged. Papyrus nyed loudly.

"I GUESS THAT MAKES SENSE. COME ON!" Papyrus said. Frisk and Sans walked behind the taller skeleton. Sans grabbed Papyrus and pulled him behind the house.

"Woah! This seems so cool and secret!" Frisk said, clapping her hands a bit. Even Flowey seemed impressed.

"the flower can't come," Sans said, almost offhand. Flowey cocked his head.

"And why is that?" Flowey asked politely.

"SANS..."

"don't trust 'im," Sans shrugged, sipping his water again, "wouldn't let him near the kid if i were you."

"BUT FLOWERY- FLOWEY IS MY FRIEND!" Papyrus said. Sans narrowed his eyesockets and looked at the flower, who was hiding in Frisk's coat from the cold. Sans took a deep breath, despite not opening his mouth, and sighed.

"alright, fine. but if he tries anything... ehh who cares," Sans shrugged. Papyrus sighed.

"THANK YOU. ANYWAYS! WE PROBABLY SHOULD GET OUT OF THIS COLD, NYEH HEH HEH!!!" Papyrus said. Frisk and Flowey nodded. Sans opened the door and let everyone in.

"At least it isn't snowing in here!" Frisk giggled. Flowey nodded vigorously.

"yeah. perks of havin' a roof over your head," Sans said.

"WELL MAYBE WE SHOULD-" Papyrus paused to reject Undyne's call," -TELL STORIES OR SOMETHING! OHH... I REALLY FEEL BAD ABOUT IGNORING UNDYNE LIKE THIS!" Papyrus' phone rang again and Sans grabbed it. He turned on Do Not Disturb and put it on a giant machine with a cloth on it.

"What is that," Flowey asked. Sans looked at the machine nostalgically.

"ah, that's a thing, in a place."

"What."

"don't like it? try a new place, at a different time."

"I FEEL LIKE YOU'RE QUOTING SOMETHING..."

"ehh, anyways i liked that tell stories idea. anyone wanna go first?"

The four in the room stared at each other with mutual silence.

"HOW ABOUT FRISK GOES FIRST SINCE SHE'S A SUPER DUPER COOL HUMAN!!!"

"Uhh, sure! There's no good stories I know though."

"maybe you could tell us about the surface?" Sans suggested. Frisk blushed.

"Ahh- Well- The surface isn't that interesting? Nothing that happened there would make for a good story. I just have normal parents and a normal life!" Frisk said.

"STILL! THERE MUST BE SOMETHING COOL!" Papyrus said. Frisk grumbled in thought for a second.

"Well, uh, there's a sun? In the sky? And it's bright? That's it," Frisk said. Flowey sighed dramatically into Frisk's legs.

This was going to be a long day.
