Asriel tries to do a Science Experiment. For Science, of course

Catching up to Frisk wasn't a problem. She was already in a fight against Undyne as Undyne sent a barrage of spears down at her. Hooray.

I was fairly content just watching and very grateful I didn't have to take part in it.

At least Undyne gave her a spear to defend herself with.

"This is boooringgg," Asriel complained.

"Sorry, do you want to be the one blocking and stuff? Just be grateful she's willing to go on with your plan and stuff," I insisted.

"I am grateful! I just think if she could, dunno, reflect them! Yeah! I want to see both of them dodging! That would at least be interesting!"

"Undyne made those spears with magic, I don't think they could hurt her," I said.

"Right. I'm sure she could fix that," he pouted.

"Okay, and why??"

"Dunno. Fun. Doesn't it provide more of a challenge?"

I groaned, "I don't think Undyne is going for a challenge."

Asriel sighed and ran his fingers through his fur, "Now we're back to being boring. You know what I want? Snacks. Like, last time I bought a cinnamon bun and I ate it during Frisk's fight. Since she kept dying I had infinite CinnaBuns," Asriel complained, "can ghosts eat? I want to try."

"Hey, and I thought Papyrus said you couldn't eat?"

"I lied to get out of eating his spaghetti. If you could eat it, you'd lie too," Asriel said. Still, talking about food reminded me of something.

"Hey, uh. I was wondering something actually. Does the vessel need sunli-"

"Please count the number of leaves you see," Asriel said.

Right. I was dumb.

"Just remember to stay in decent dirt like, 85% of the time, and dirt maybe 90%, and everything should be fine. Let's just hope I'm the one dealing with any negative side effects of you not knowing my limits," Asriel said, "and you didn't answer my question. Can ghosts eat?"

"I don't think I've actually tried," I said. Asriel groaned.

"Well, that's lame. Maybe we could get money off Frisk and try. For science reasons."

"I think she's a little busy right now," I said, turning towards where Frisk was. And I mean was as she was no longer there.

"Alright," Asriel put a hand on his hip and gestured to the former-Frisk-spot with the other, "apparently we missed something."

"Really? I think they're just going out for some Nicecream or something," I rolled my eyes.

"C'mooon, Chara! You have to go fiiind her!" Asriel complained, "I'd shake your shoulders but you don't really have any."

"But then you'd complain about how boring it is!"

"I just want her to give you money and then we can go buy something to try eating! That's all!"

"At least you're not asking me to steal it-"

"Oh I know you're not coordinated enough for that," Asriel said nonchalantly.

"Greeaat." I groaned.

I moved up on the path because I figured that's where Frisk was and she was, still, engaging in combat with Undyne.

"I don't think we should distract her," I said quietly.

"That's unfortunate," Asriel grumbled, "how about this? I'll show you a magic trick instead! And then we can stay here a little bit out of sight so we don't cause too many distractions at inconvenient times."
