"Alright, Chara. Forward or left?" Frisk asked.

"Forward, obviously. And don't try jumping again!" I insisted. Frisk shivered, as if the memory was all needed to make her feel cold again.

"Don't remind me," Frisk said, "I won't."

"I'll meet you up ahead," I said.

"Chara, wait-"

I couldn't hear her from the confinements of the soil. I tried to take a deep breath, which was a hard feat without lungs, in an attempt to calm myself down.

"Asriel..?"

No reply, just like the last ten tries. It wasn't like I expected any different, I was just scared there was a secret ghost weakness to worms or something I didn't know about and I'd be stuck like this forever. He was probably fine but it still hurt as much as the last ten tries.

I waited for her for five minutes before she got off the twisty path.

"Sorry! I ran into this... Mussel horse dude named Aaron. He was cool but I had to flex a ton and now my arms are sore," Frisk giggled. I currently did not have arms but I could relate to them being sore. That has definitely happened before.

"Hey look! Another sign!" Frisk said, "The power to take th-"

"Nope. You already took a break. No more reading," I insisted. Frisk crossed her arms and pouted.

"Alright, fine," she grumbled. I sighed. I wasn't going to let her read that one either.

Frisk moved onwards and I, alas, had to follow. That is such the way things were in this world.

Frisk looked at her reflection in the clear water and fixed her hair. I missed my hair.

"The water is so... Nice here. I wonder if it's safe for drinking?" Frisk wondered out loud.

"I think, unless something changed," I replied, "I would ask someone who lives here, though, first."

Frisk nodded, "okay!"

Frisk got up and kept walking along the path before a looming shadow of a tentacle shaped object (which was a tentacle but I'm currently describing the shadow, not the object itself) overwhelmed her.

Frisk squeaked a little in fear because big random things coming out of the middle of nowhere are generally not good. She turned to face the (probably) horrible beast to face it.

"Hey... there... Noticed you were... Here... I'm Onionsan! Onionsan, y'hear!" The not actually that horrible beast, Onionsan said. Unless you counted the incredibly animated facial expressions as 'horror', which I didn't know if I should count or not.

"Uhh... Hi Onionsan?" Frisk said unsurely. Onionsan just smiled it's anime-esk large smile.

"Alright then," Frisk muttered to herself. She took a step forward and Onionsan floated at the same pace, "as if this could get any creepier."

Frisk, carefully, walked halfway across before getting interrupted and stopped, with a sigh.

"You're visiting Waterfall, huh! It's great here, huh! You love it, huh! Yeah!"

"Sure, we can go with that," Frisk said. Onionsan didn't even seem to notice.

"Me too! It's my Big Favorite. Even though, the water's getting so shallow here... I, have to sit down all the time, but... He-hey! That's OK! It beats moving to the city! And living in a crowded aquarium! Like all my friends did! And the aquarium's full, a-anyway, so, even if I wanted to, I... That's okay though, y'hear! Undyne's gonna fix everything, y'hear! I'm gonna get out of here and live in the ocean! Y'hear!" Onionsan said happily. Frisk seemed genuinely annoyed, which was quite amusing for me. Frisk sighed and continued walking to the other side of this long hallway. She was almost home free when, once again, she was interrupted.
