I promised my parents that I will marry someone when I turn 25. It was childish and
I never really thought it would come true. Especially when I'm enjoying US right now.

I'm eating at In-n-out when they called me
"Uwmuwi ka na ngayon, anak."

Without saying anything I just hang up the phone and went to the airport. I'm using my private plane that my Dad gave me on my 18th birthday. Daddy is so grand talaga but siguro dahil din kami ang may-ari ng Starlight Airlines.

I had to cancel my appointment with Dra. Grace Lianna Berameda, She is also my best friend. She's a licensed dentist here in the US and also the Philippines.

I never really had a boyfriend, just dates but never serious. I travel a lot because I want to enjoy my life with myself and I don't think someone is willing to leave their life just to travel with me. It was not always the for fun travel but also mixed with business.

I'm 25 and by next year my parents company will be mine. I'm the only heir. All my friends are also heirs in their own family business. My family owns Starlight aviation airline. It's the biggest aviation company in the Philippines. I'm not a pilot or F.A but I know how to drive a plane. I think perks yon na heir ng isang airline kaya natuto din ako mag drive ng plane but I'm not really fond of that.

With that being said I will now go back to MNL bago pa magalit ang aking mga magulang. The last thing I need now is them getting mad at me. I think I'll arrive around 9am tomorrow. I don't live with my parents but I come home every now and then. I'm very close with them.

"Anak you will meet him tomorrow" Mom said as she hug me. Kakadating ko lang and I immediately went to their house. I just nodded in response to her.

"I think you will like him." Dad said and hugs me. "Welcome home, anak" he added.

I'm really close to my parents and I know they have higher standards in men more than I do. I can't say I'm happy about this since my freedom of being single is gone. Hindi rin naman biro ang mainlove. I never really took love as something I must have or something I expect to feel. I then realized why am I even talking about love when I will marry a stranger for christ sake!

I mean hindi naman ako mapili sa lalaki ang type ko yung 5'8 but not more than 6'2 since my height is just 5'5 hindi kami bagay kung masyadong siyang matangkad o maliit, muscular but not so much just healthy, loves traveling so he can keep up with me traveling, eats 2 times a day since I don't eat breakfast, wants malasado na egg... Oh gosh why am I even talking about eggs.

I just want us to atleast like each other... kahit as friends. We're getting married and I hope we both figured it out.

My parents, they were also a product of arranged marriage. They're just lucky that they learned to love each other or it's what I thought. My Dad never fails to let me and my Mom know how much he loves us. I hope my marriage life is as easy as that. I just hope I can figure this out because this is a lifetime commitment we're talking about...

hassle kaya mag divorce or annulment sayang naman yung gastos sa wedding.  And I only want to marry once in this lifetime.
