Brielle and Mari were standing outside their new house in a bland state. The move changed everything, even though Marianne lived in this same house in her childhood years, she now has her best friend to experience this little gloomy town with her. "Don't just stand there, let's get started," Elaine told the girls in excitement. "My baby girl, I'm going to miss you but this is an experience of a lifetime. I want you to call me if you need anything at all, I will be on the very next flight out here. Dad loves you."

"Yeah and make sure you call me, even if it's just about boys." Bri's parents told her.

"We love you, Marianne, take care of each other," Alice told her daughter.

They stayed for a couple of hours helping the girls unpack their things.

"Aren't you excited?" Brielle said as she jumped on Mari's bed.

"Excited for what? School and rain?" Marianne folded her clothes

"This could be fun Marianne, stop being such a downer." Brielle pulled out her phone.

"You'll see, it's only rain and bland people."

Brielle looked at her and groaned "This is the first time that I've lived somewhere that wasn't in Michigan, could you try to be happier about this?"

Marianne sighed and looked at her "I'll try to be positive for a week, but once you see how bad it is you'll be complaining too."

Brielle smiled "A week is good enough... we could find plenty of cute boys in a week"

"Bland boys..." Marianne muttered to herself "Plenty of bland boys"

"Go to bed Mari, we start our first day of school tomorrow."

"No shots to celebrate our move?" Marianne pouts.

Brielle couldn't help but smile. "Alright, let's do it.

They turned the music on and locked the door. Brielle brought out the bottle of Moscato that she had been saving. They took two shots each and danced until they passed out around 11 pm.

"Mari wake the fuck up, we have to be ready for school in 1 hour." Brielle shook her.

Marianne groaned and rolled over "Just mind your own business" She pulled the cover over her head.

"We have to walk to school and you still have to get ready" Brielle pulled the cover off of her.

Marianne sat up "I don't want to dress cute, I'm just going to wear sweats-"

"No, you're not! We have to get cute~" Brielle looked in Mari's drawers "Ooo~ you could wear a slutty dress"

"While it's raining?" Marianne looked at her "Fine, but you have to wear one too"

Brielle smiled "You think we'll get everyone's attention?"

"Girl... we're the only black people there... they won't be able to look away." Marianne took the dress out of Brielle's hand and walked out of the room.

"Girls come down, breakfast is ready!" Elaine shouted up the stairs.

"One sec Ma!" Marianne yelled down.
