Marianne's Pov

Jacob walked me to my fourth hour "I didn't think that talking about prom for forty-five minutes could take so much out of me." He complained. I laughed a little "You didn't say anything about prom, you just sat and listened." He chuckles and looks down at me "That's because the four of you did enough talking for everybody."

I rolled my eyes "Prom is important... plus I'd like to help other girls get ready since I'm not going." I pouted a bit "Why wouldn't you be going?" He asked, "It's only like five months away and I won't be able to find a date." I said as we reached the front of my class "Well if you still don't have a date in three months I'll take you." I smiled a bit and nodded "Okay... see you later?"

He chuckles and nods "I am your ride home." I went into my class and got to the back sitting next to Edward, preparing myself for another hour of silence. The whole class was spent with me doing half of the assignment and him checking over my answers like I was a child. I noticed that he got his half of the project done pretty fast but he was writing on a paper.

Once I got half of the work done I got on my phone sitting back. "Um... I like your hair..." I heard Edward mutter. I looked over at him "Are you talking to me?" He nodded and looked me straight in my eyes "I'm very sorry about how I've been acting for the past two days", I couldn't help but nod back "I... it's okay..." I said. "I was hoping we could become friends." He offered a smile to me. "I don't see a problem with being friends." I looked at my phone again. "Thank you" I heard him say to himself quietly. After class, he offered to walk me to my locker "I mean it wouldn't really be walking me... your locker is three lockers down." I got up grabbing my books. He nods "I know but it's just the gesture" He stood up and grabbed his jacket and leads me out of the class. I followed behind him but the walk to our lockers stayed relatively quiet. When we made our way to the lockers I opened mine putting my forensic books up.

Just like yesterday Bella walked over and started up a conversation with Edward, but this time before they left he sent a small smile my way "I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled back "See you tomorrow..." I said as I closed my locker and walked in the direction of my next class. I put on my headphone and I started listening to music as soon as I got into the class I saw Mike waving me down. I walked over and he moved his backpack for me to sit with him "Hey Mari, is it okay for me to call you that?" I nodded at him "Yeah it's fine." I sat next to him. "So are you artistic? I can't draw for the life of me." He tried making conversation with me "I can draw a little, not too much though..." I looked at the art material that was already at the table "You already got everything for us?" I asked and he nodded "You could call me Mr. Prepared." He said with a proud look on his face. "Okay Mr. Prepared," I said starting on my art project. "So did you hear about that party this Saturday?" He looked over at me. I shook my head "I didn't hear about any party... then again I don't really talk to anyone in the school..." I didn't even look in his direction. "Well Justin is throwing a party... everyone is going, you should come." I looked over at him "Maybe..." He smiled "Well," He grabbed a piece of paper and wrote something down "This is my number." He handed me the paper "Just call me if you need a ride... or if you ever need anything." I looked at the paper then nodded putting it in my pocket "Thank you." I went back to drawing.

By the end of the day, I went to my locker to get my things before meeting Jacob outside. He was standing next to a group of his friends and they were all talking, I walked over to them. He looked over at me before putting his arm around my shoulder. "We were just telling Jake here that he needs a haircut" Embry laughs as he ruffles Jacob's hair. Jake pushed his hand away "I actually like my long hair."

Quil looks at me "What do you think Marianne?" I looked up at Jacob "A haircut wouldn't hurt... I'll even cut it." I started to jump up and down "Oh Jacob please let me cut it~ I've never cut hair before and it would be so fun!" He looked down at me and then back at his friends "You see what you two did?" He groaned before saying goodbye to them and leading me to his bike. "Please Jake~ I promise I won't mess it up." He stopped walking and looked at me "Give me some time to think about it." I smiled and nodded "That just means I have time to persuade you." I said as I picked up the helmet. Jacob got on the bike as I was putting on the helmet. I felt someone looking at me so I turned in that direction to see Edward staring while Bella was getting in his car. "Are you going to get on?" I heard Jacob say as I broke out of my trance "Yeah..." I said as I got on the bike and wrapped my arms around his waist. Once he felt that I was secure enough he pulled off in the way of my house.

Once we got to my house I got off the bike and then took off the helmet "Do you want to come in to say hi? My grandma would love to see you." He nodded and got off the bike "I think that would be nice." He said putting the kickstand down. I smiled handing him my helmet then went up to the porch taking out my keys.

After I unlocked the door I pulled Jacob in "Mama! I brought company." My grandma came out of the kitchen "Oh my god is that Jacob?!" He smiles at her "Mrs. Anderson" He said walking over to her, "Mrs. Anderson? Boy, call me mama." She hugged him "I haven't seen you since you were six." She pulled away "Are you staying for dinner?" He shook his head "I have to be home tonight but my dad said that we're coming over for dinner next week." She nodded "Well I'll make sure to start preparing now." She kissed his cheek "I'll see you later sweetheart." He smiled at her "See you later mama"

As he was leaving I decided that I would walk him back to his bike "See you in school tomorrow." He looked at me and nodded "I'll come to pick you up." He said putting on his helmet and getting on his bike. A car pulled up and Brielle got out "Bye~" I heard her say to whoever was in the car "Bye Twinnie~" Jessica called out "And bye Marianne" She waved out the driver's seat. I waved back "Bye Jess." Jessica's car pulled off.

Brielle walked over to us "Hey Jake" He looked at her "Hey Bri..." She looked in between the both of us "I'm going to give you two some alone time." She walked into the house.

I looked back at him "Drive safe" He chuckled "I'm always safe" He said backing his bike up "I'll be here tomorrow for you." I nodded as I watched him pull off "Okay." I walked back into the house.
