Chapter 7: The Cursed YouTube Clan

Chapter 7

Phil looked at the amount of people who were now assembled before him. This was a lot! Phil wasn't even aware that this many people did YouTube at all. Ever. "Phil, allow me to introduce you to everyone" She beckoned for him to come over. First in the line was a tall boy with brown, side swept hair. "This is Chris Kendall, also known as Crabstickz. He's very humorous, and is actually in a relationship with PJ here" She said, pointing to the next person along, a boy with curly brown hair. "PJ Liguori, used to be KickThePJ, a nice guy and quite a charmer. Next we have a woman called Louise" said Carrie, pointing to a woman with long blond hair "From the old YouTube channel SprinkleOfGlitter, she's quite mad and has quite a friendship with Dan, and she's a genuinely nice person. Next to her is Zoe Sugg, aka Zoella, who's very sweet and knows how to make you laugh" said Carrie, in front of a short girl with long brown hair. "Next to her we have Alfie Deyes, of PointlessBlog, they're married, and Zoe's brother Joe Sugg, aka ThatcherJoe, and he is always making people feel happier. He's not too bad on the looks side of things either. And that's everyone, at the moment" concluded Carrie. "All of these people are British. YouTube is global. I'm still finding it hard to be convinced" said Phil. "You make a good point, Phil. It's something we can't figure out. We've contacted people such as Smosh and Tyler Oakley in America, but they seem to be fine. No weird experiences, nothing. It seems to be just British YouTubers that are affected by it." She said, a tone of wonder but also interest in her voice. "We can't think of any reason why, every single possibility we've tested has turned out to be unreliable" Dan added. "I've heard of Smosh and Tyler Oakley though" said Phil. "Yes. That's because they haven't had to hide themselves away" said Carrie. Panic was rising within Phil again, and he felt his eyes well up again. "Phil, we understand this is a lot for you to take in, but we'd really like you to stay here, as we want to keep you safe. And there's still something different about you Phil. I mentioned earlier that we here used to have them once a day, just about. But today, you had 3. None of us here has ever had 3 in a day. It's strange... Please Phil, stay here and let us help you to help us" Phil nodded, though he wasn't entirely sure he meant it. He just wanted to go home and cuddle up to his stuffed lion with a film on.

Just then, a clock chimed six in the corner of the room. Carrie turned to everyone else once again and said "Everyone! Before we all rush off to dinner, I'd like to announce that the AmazingPhil will be staying here with us for the time being. I'd like you all to make him feel welcome. Now off you go." And with, that the crowd dissipated into another room, with delicious smells emanating from it. Phil watched as Dan and the others went off to what was probably some kind of canteen. He felt so sad for everyone here, they worked for and loved YouTube, but it had been snatched away from them. And now Phil's love for it was about to be snatched away too. "Phil?" said a voice from next to him. He turned round and saw Carrie. "You can go too. I imagine it's been a while since you've eaten properly" Phil nodded and looked at his feet. He then felt a pair of arms wrap around his stomach. He looked at Carrie as she said "I know this will be difficult Phil. But myself and everyone else here understands and will be happy to help you. Now go get some food before it all goes." And he did.
