It didn't take long for word of a Royal Wedding to get around- Khaenri'ah was small, after all. Women and their daughtets wept, grandmothers mourned the loss of the 'Perfect Grandson In-Law', but despite this, many were overjoyed with the announcement.

Many saw this as a way to save the falling Kingdom.

There were 8 Kingdoms across Teyvat:
Mondstadt, the Kingdom of Freedom
Liyue, the Kingdom of Contracts
Inazuma, the Kingdom of Eternity
Sumeru, the Kingdom of Wisdom
Fontaine, the Kingdom of Justice
Natlan, the Kingdom of War
Khaenri'ah, the Kingdom of Alchemy
Snezhnaya, the Kingdom of Prosperity

Currently, there was a war being fought between these 8 Kingdoms. Many have perished in battle, even more have been wounded. Currently, Khaenri'ah had a good portion of their troops in Khaenri'ah protecting their Khemia that Snezhnaya was currently trying to steal. Though, there were also others deployed in Snezhnaya and Liyue, as well as Khaenri'ah's allied nations of Sumeru and Fontaine.

The Head of War, Dainsleif, was to not spread troops too thin in order to make sure Khaenri'ah does not fall.

Him and his right hand (a man known as Halfdan) were doing their best to protect their beloved nation.

Dainsleif and Halfdan were in the middle of planning their next move when the door to their office was opened without warning, startling the two.

"Hey Dain, long time no see, eh?" Kaeya asked, walking into the study.

"Sir, we saw each other this morning," Dainsleif deadpanned, bowing his head.

Halfdan bowed his head as well.

"This morning, 10 years ago, all the same thing. What's your next move?" The Kings asks, eyeing the table with pins and labels sticking from it.

"Well," Dainsleif begins, suddenly stopping when he sees someone standing at the door, "I might tell you if your Seneschal wasn't eavesdropping."

Kaeya turns around, laughing when he notices Albedo awkwardly waiting for permission to be allowed in the room, "You don't have to ask to come in, dearest. You can barge in whatever room you want in this estate whenever you want."

Albedo inwardly freaks out at the nickname, but obliges, walking up next to Kaeya.

"There something I should be made aware of?" Dainsleif asks, narrowing his eyes at the unintimidated Albedo.

In truth, Dainsleif never liked the blonde, and hated him even more when he effortlessly became Seneschal. Dainsleif was supposed to be Seneschal after the previous one passed.

"Albedo's going to be sharing the throne with me, whatever you have to share with me about battle tactics of our Kingdom, he's more than welcome to hear it," Kaeya says sternly.

Halfdan and Dainsleif look at each other, having a silent conversation. Halfdan sighs, turning to the board of pins and labels.

"Well, we have many new recruits joining lately," He begins, "while we don't want to spread too thin, I think we should send more troops to Snezhnaya. The creation of the Fatui Harbingers has put every Kingdom at greater risk, and I think we should de-"

"May I interject?" Albedo speaks up, cutting off Halfdan, much to his annoyance, but the man nods anyways, "I suggest we send machinery. If these Harbingers are as vicious as people say, then our troops- especially new recruits- don't stand a chance against them. Perhaps field tillers? Or maybe even a creation like rifthounds...we cannot afford to lose troops in a wide scale battle such as this that does not seem to be ending anytime soon."

The room went silent at Albedo's interjection before Dainsleif spoke up, "I suppose you have a point..save our troops until they are better trained, as evidently we will need them in the long run."

Kaeya seemed awfully pleased about something, smiling slightly and watching Albedo. This is exactly why he had chosen him to rule alongside him.

Albedo smiled and watched Dainsleif move a pin that had a label that said 'Field Tillers' on it get moved to the place labeled 'Snezhnaya'.

"Well, I suppose I got what I came here for, and don't forget to inform the Head of Machinery," Kaeya grabbed Albedo's hand, and the two left the strategy room, closing the door behind them.

"I never knew you were quite the battle strategist," Kaeya teased once they reached the hallway, letting go of Albedo's hand.

"And I never knew we talked about being called 'dearest' and hand holding," Albedo quipped back, turning to face Kaeya.

"People have to think we're in love for this to work," Kaeya stated, "sorry that I'm trying to stop people from calling our bluff."

Albedo simply hummed and continued walking.

"Also, I'd prefer the wedding to be sooner rather than later. You're the one in charge of planning it, being the Seneschal and all," Kaeya smirked before turning on his heel and beginning to walk away.

"Oh, hell no. You're helping me with this whether you like it or not," Albedo exclaimed, walking in front of Kaeya and making him stop.

Kaeya amusedly laughed a bit, looking down at the blonde, "alright, then let's get working on it yeah?"

Albedo nodded and the two walked to Kaeya's chambers together to plan.
