this is a chapter about the war (title is self explanatory)
the different kingdoms (I made smth up for Khaenri'ah and Snezhnaya because I couldn't find anything on them)

Mondstadt, the Kingdom of Freedom
Liyue, the Kingdom of Contracts
Inazuma, the Kingdom of Eternity
Sumeru, the Kingdom of Wisdom
Fontaine, the Kingdom of Justice
Natlan, the Kingdom of War
Khaenri'ah, the Kingdom of Alchemy
Snezhnaya, the Kingdom of Prosperity

Fontaine and Sumeru are Khaenri'ah's allies.

The war was started by Snezhnaya invading Mondstadt to try and take Mondstadt as a part of Snezhnaya.

Mondstadt's allies, Natlan and Fontaine, got involved to try to protect Mondstadt.

Snezhnaya kidnapped a scholar from Khaenri'ah to steal their knowledge on Khemia, which got Khaenri'ah and Sumeru involved. (the scholar was retrieved, but not woundlessly. Snezhnaya still attempts to steal their Khemia)

Inazuma got involved to try to stop Snezhnaya from achieving their goals and to keep things how they are.

Khaenri'ah is currently about to attempt to forge an alliance with Mondstadt

Liyue and Snezhnaya are allies, Liyue takes orders from them and is pretty much attacking everyone under Snezhnayan control.

now we can go onto who rules what nation

Mondstadt: Jean and Lisa
Liyue: Ningguang and Beidou
Inazuma: Baal/Makoto (the cataclysm never happened, so she never died 👍 let's say Raiden Shogun is head of battle stuff)
Natlan: idk anything about Natlan nor its characters so for now it'll be a secret 🤫
Sumeru: Lesser Lord Kusalani
Snezhnaya: the Tsaritsa
Fontaine: same as Natlan
Khaenri'ah: Kaeya and Albedo
alright so there's that
before I end this, a small little detail; but I actually got the idea of Seneschal x the King from a book series I read. It's called The Folk of the Air and it's by Holly Black, I highly recommend!
