The wedding happened 2 weeks after Alice and Albedo spoke in the garden.

The castle's main areas were decorated with hundreds of wild Inteyvats- Khaenri'ah's national flower. Much to Albedo's dismay, almost the entire Kingdom showed up. He had hoped to keep it at least reasonably small, but apparently their King getting married is a big deal to Khaenri'ahns. Though, at least the important people (rulers of allied nations) had shown for the union.

Traditionally, a Khaenri'ahn wedding was short and simple, the two spouses would enter from opposite sides of wherever the wedding occured and meet in the middle, where a priest holding a candle would be waiting. They would both hold lit candles, setting them in a candle holder that would sit between them. They would exchange rings and each take a drink from a golden chalice after the priest speaks, and the priest would place his candle in the center part of the candle holder before announcing them as spouses, and at the end, the spouses kissed.

(a/n that's totally made up I just thought it sounded cool and it's half stolen from Corpse Bride)

Everything was going as planned, Albedo and Kaeya were each in their respective sides, getting ready.

Albedo sat in a chair in front of a mirror, watching Alice put the final flowers in his hair from the mirror. After his hair was finished would come his makeup, which would be done by Rhinedottir.

Alice put the last flower in his hair and stepped aside, taking a deep breath and looking at Albedo in the mirror, "you look perfect."

Albedo huffed, "we're not even done yet.. what time is it? I don't want to be late to my own wedding."

"You have 2 hours," Rhinedottir speaks up, waltzing into the room and holding a makeup caddy, "we have just enough time for you to get makeup and clothing done before we have to leave."

Rhinedottir set the makeup caddy on the vanity in front of Albedo, opening it and pulling out things Albedo's never even seen before.

"It was requested to keep you as natural as possible, so you don't have to worry about me using everything in here. You also don't have to worry about looking unrecognizable- I'm just using the bare minimum," Rhinedottir explains, picking up two different foundations and holding them up to her son's face to see which one matches, muttering a small 'perfect' to herself after finding the right one.

While Rhinedottir is working on Albedo's makeup, Klee comes barreling in, waiting for Alice to do her hair. She is the flower girl, after all. She needs to look her best.

"I want my hair like big brother Albedo's!" Klee announces, sitting on a small stool Alice had been using prior, "then we can be matching!"

Alice laughed fondly at her daughter, grabbing leftover flowers to weave into her hair, "anything you want, Klee."

"I can't believe big brother's getting married to a King," Klee went on, struggling to keep her head still while Alice messed with her hair, "a nice one too!"

"Do you like Sir Alberich, Klee?" Rhinedottir asked, half focused on the conversation and half focused on spreading out Albedo's concealer.

Klee nodded enthusiastically, much to Alice's dismay, "mhm! He's really nice to Klee! He even told Klee how excited he was to marry big brother! He said Klee could be an Aunt soon!"

Albedo almost choked on his own spit, leaning forward and almost causing Rhinedottir to mess up his contour, "I'm sorry, what was that last part-?"

Rhinedottir grabbed Albedo's face to steady it, and Klee continued, "Uh-huh! Mister Kaeya said that when he marries big brother, Klee will have lots of nieces and nephews!"
