Sparkling's pov
Another day.. time to open the bar. Sparkling thought as he turned the keys to his bar. Well, technically night, It's almost 6PM
When I got in I flicked on the lights and turned the sign to glow OPEN and shuffled behind my counter. I started off by doing light cleaning. After that, I prepared some grape juice for Vampire. A couple minutes ticked by, then the door chimed announcing the arrival of a cookie. Aka, Vampire cookie. He was almost always the first cookie to come. He strode over to me and took the Grape Juice. He gave me a sloppy smile then chugged it down.
"Hey, you need to pay for that you know," I protested playfully.
"I'll pay latur," he slurred, "Can you make me some more drinks?"
I rolled my eyes but smiled, before quickly preparing a couple more drinks. About five minutes passed before some more cookies walked in, and soon a line was formed. I worked as quickly as I could, and tried not to be too flirty since there were a lot of customers. After nearly an hour, I tiredly collapsed behind the counter.
"Hey," a voice said making me look up.
"Oh hey Mint!" I wave grinning, "You're later than usual."
"Hulloo," Vampire mumbled drunk, before going back to sipping his cocktail.
"Well.. I had a date," Mint blushed, looking down at his hands.
"Really?" I asked raising an eyebrow, "Lemme guess, with that cutie, Cocoa?"
"H-hey! Don't call her that!" Mint said as he blushed deeper, "And yes, I did."
"Cool, congrats," I replied, smiling, "So what can I get for you?"
"It's alright, I kind of just want to chill here," Mint said laughing, "Also have you seen the new-"
Ding ding* The door flew open and Espresso stormed in looking tired and angry. Yikes. Espresso was pretty powerful I supposed, and grumpy, as well as sleep deprived work-aholic. He's nice when you get to know him, but you do not want to get on his bad side. Or annoy him when he hasn't had his cup of coffee yet. Or feed him "bad" coffee.
"I need coffee. Now," Espresso growled, storming right up to me.
Mint flinched, clearly scared of Espresso's terrible mood. Vampire as usual took no notice and was busied by his drink.
"Sure, gimme a sec," I said whisking around and setting to work.
"Make it extra strong, and make two," he continued, "no suger, no alchohol, just black and strong."
I nodded then realized that whenever he came he was to order something light but still with alcohol. I wonder what happened.
"Say, don't you have your own special recipe's and coffee machine at home?" I questioned him while finishing up his order, "like, ten?"
"First off, It's only 3, and one is for Latte," he replied annoyed as I handed him a cup of steaming coffee, "and one broke down this morning and another got fucking destroyed in an experiment."
"Oh, that sucks," I said pouring the second drink into the cup, "$12 please."
He hurriedly handed me the money hurriedly. Just before he started to walk away I noticed something. There was a mark at his neck, a shallow one.
"Espresso..?" I started cautiously, "Mind if I ask where you got that?"
He looked at me confused so I pointed to his neck where there was a shallow hickey. He touched it before suddenly realizing.
Mint noticed it as well and gasped, "Espresso! Who's the lucky cookie..?"
"N-no one!" he half screamed half gurgled, "Bye now!"
He turned dark red and went out the door leaving me and Mint giggling. I bet it was Madeleine heheh.
"So what were you going to say before?" I turned to Mint.
"Oh right! There's a new shop opening for flowers and plants," he exclaimed exitedly, "The owner is the new cookie, Herb I think."
"Herb?" I thought out loud, "What a pretty name.."
Mint chuckled, "Oh, he's on a tour right now. He might stop by later~"
I rolled my eyes at his comment. I wasn't going to fall for someone I haven't even met! I can make someone I just met fall in love with me though. That's when the door jingled open again and a cookie stepped in. He had light leafy green hair and chocolate brown eyes. His smile was warm and adorable like his outfit, which was a brown shirt with a white collar and sleeves. He walked towards me and my heart started beating faster.
"Hi, what would you like?" I murmured blushing, before catching myself.
No, I was not going to act like a mess in front of this cute cookie! Beside me Mint was looking at me with a smirk. He was trying hard not to laugh, but it looked like it was failing. Vampire actually looked up from his drink with slight interest which was rare.
"Hiiii cutiw~" Vampire giggled edging closer to the newcomer.
"Oh no, I don't drink Alcohol," the stranger replied in a pleasant voice, moving a bit farther, "I'm also just taking a quick tour. This is my last stop."
"Awe your no fun," Vampire whined before falling drunk again.
"W-wait!" I said hurriedly, then said, "We also do tea here!"
"Really?" the cute cookie asked smiling, "Can I have herb tea then?"
"Sure," I nodded and handed the cookie the drink.
After he finished it, I wanted him to stay longer but ran out of excuses. I felt flustered. What's my fucking problem tonight?
"What's your name?" I yelled desperately, "Also I'd love to chat sometimes!"
"Why thanks," The cookie smiled a warm smile that melted my heart and made my red, "It's herb."
