Herb's Pov
"What the hell is that?!" I whisper-yelled to Gingerbrave as I watched a gigamtoc red cake monster the size of 2 castles rise up from the ground.
I tried not to shake. This was only my first battle and we're going up against that? Well, technically I was helping to heal, not to battle.
"Oh, that's her personal cake monster. I thought my team defeated it the last time, but I suppose not," Gingerbrave shrugged.
My eyes widened. Gingerbrave's tea,? Gingerbrave, Strawberry, and wizard was only 13ish 14 years olds, Custard was 10, and Chili was the only adult as she was 19. There was no way that Dark Enchantress was weak, so how OP is Gingerbrave's team? And how much stronger has Dark Enchantress gotten since the last time she battled with them personally? Can I do anything?
I kind of want a cup of tea right now. I wonder if Dark Enchantress drinks tea? NO! Herb, focus!
"Hellooo? Are you puny little cookies going to battle or anything?" Dark Enchantress ask impatiently, "I don't have all day y'know. I still need to destroy the other 2 kingdoms."
The cookies started to battle as if a light switch turned them on and I stuck to the back where I could heal others safely and not get caught in the fighting. So far, we were pretty balanced, in fact, we were doing alot of damage. The only problem is our cookies were getting damaged but only Dark Enchantress's cake monster and other cake hounds were getting damaged, not Dark Enchantress herself.
A black shadow hung over me out of no where. Nearby by me, the other cookies also noticed. I looked up and I let out a whimper. The cake monster had created a gigantic ruby crystal fist and had sent it crashing down. Some cookies managed to get away from beneath it, but some may be too late.. like me.
"AHHH!" I yelped and threw the first jar I could find in my pouch out instinctivly.
I waited for the impact, but instead I heard the sound of several things breaking and falling. I cautiously peaked out of my hand and saw that I had accidentally grown a gigantic, tall, tree in the spur of the moment. Not to mention, it was one of the toughest trees around. The tree had shotten up and broke through the fist along with some of the cake monster. I sighed in relief. I'm alive, but I think I used up my plant growing powers.
"That's my boy!" My mom, SeaFairy cheered.
Dark Enchantress cursed and we quickly resumed in battling when suddenly Dark Enchantress lurched over in pain. Her face twisted into agony. I paused, suprised, and I noticed the other cookies did too, but quickly continued to work on destroying her cake monster.
Sparkling's Pov (10 minutes ago)
"Is this it?" Chocolate Mocha asked from besides me.
We stared up in awe at the giant ruby crystal which encase a coal-black pearl-like crystal. Almost resembling a soul-stone even. We were standing in a dark, black room, with only dim torch lights giving off an eerie crimson glow and the crystal itself as lights.
"Indeed, this should be it," Espresso comfirmed, "Let's hurry and destroy it, it's been a long time since we've entered this catsle."
"Got it," Madeleine grinned.
Espresso set off several coffee explosions and a waterfall of burning hot coffee down on the crystal. Cream Puff then set off a strong tornado like spell, followed by Chocolate Mocha creating a burning chocolate bits. Lastly Latte hit it with her spoon and Madeleine struck it with his sword, finally cracking and splintering it open.
I watched as Espresso take the crystal as it slowly levitated down.
"What do you thinki you're doing?" A voice asked coldly.
I turned around to see Pomegranate glaring coldly, ready to attack.
"Ahaha- don't worry about her, just hurry up and break it," Licorice said popping up.
"What do you think you're doing?" Pomegranate hissed.
"Uh, stopping you from stopping them?" Red Velvet said with Chiffon beside him.
"Yeah, I don't like being evil," Strawberry Crepe whined.
"Mhmm," Poisonous Mushroom mumbled.
"Honestly, I just wanted to get some sweets," Affogato said.
"TRAITORS!" Pomegranate yelled, "At least Dark Choco helps, though he-"
"Uh yeah, I quit too," Dark Choco shrugged casually, "Kind of threw that sword away and talked it out with my dad? I'm even dating Caramel Arrow now."
"Congrats man!" Red Velvet congradulated, "I finally started dating Pastry!"
"What the-" Pomegranate said.
I and the other cookies stared at them as they quarreled. This was even more interesting than some things that happened in the bar.
"Hah! Good job, but I've been dating Clover and Vampire for quiet some time now," Licorice bragged, proudly.
"YOU SAID THEY WERE YOUR FRIENDS!" Pomegranate exclaimed.
"I want to get adopted by Espresso," Strawberry said loudly, making Espresso widen his eyes in suprise.
"Well, I wouldn't mind. You like inventing stuff and we can help eachother," Espresso said, joining in the conversation.
"Yeah same!" Madeleine smiled.
"Frieends," Poisonous Mushroom murmured, "You and Starfruit gir-?"
"Don't mention her! ARGHHH!" Pomegrnate screamed.
With that, Espresso broke the black gem in half. A red glow engulfed the room then dissapeared.
I looked at the Cookie's of-, well ex- cookie's of Darkness.
Can't say I didn't see this coming.
