"Well," Harvey scratched his head, feeling how the hot embarrasment from before rose again, into his head this time. His cheeks were slightly flushed as he coughed and put his hand behind his head. When before Shane was looking away, now Harvey was the one staring into a different direction. He hadn't thought about this. He hadn't thought about this at all when he agreed to let Shane stay. The embarrassment just increased when he felt the unshaved mans sceptical gaze. Awkward.

"I won't bother", Shane broke the silence. He shrugged and walked to the bed, sitting down as to test the comfortability of the mattress he was about to sleep on this night. Then he muffled silently, "Seems okay."
Harvey was a bit stunned about the audacity of his guest. Though he just shook his head and went - Shane's actions left uncommented - to the counter, filling the little tea kettle with water. Shane meanwhile was rummaging in his bag.
"You want some tea?" Harvey sighed, his glance lost outside, through the window where Sam and Sebastian were smoking on their usual bench again. Really, they should be careful not to make it a habit or they'll end up like- His gaze was moving towards Shane who was holding a beer bottle in his hand, chugging down the alcohol. Sam and Sebastian were forgotten the same moment Harvey spotted his guest.
"What- Shane what the heck, what are you doing, are you seriously-"
The former embarrassment was replaced by a silent rage rummoring in his stomach area. Shane knew Harveys opinion about this, was there any decency left inside this drunk dork? He wasn't a hopless case for sure but right now Harvey had to tame himself, take a deep breath and ignore Shanes blank stare in order not to freak out.
"Sorry Harv but I don't like tea."
"You can't just drink in my clinic!"
"Well it isn't your clinic to be fair..."
Harvey blinked in astonishment. He wasn't sure if Shane was serious right now. Right, he wasn't his patient right now, he was his guest. But that wouldn't change his mind about Shane's actions. If he wasn't advising him as a doctor, he at least would do as a friend now.

So he put the kettle aside and walked towards Shane whose eyes were following him nonchalantly - yet with a pinch of sadness.
"Shane, I'm serious, you know this isn't going to make you feel any better. On the long run it will only destroy you, hell, it already did, Shane, look at you," Harvey said gently, with urgency in his voice though, watching how his guest lowered his head, his glance towards the ground numbly. "Shane.."
Harvey carefully reached out to touch his shoulder once more, unobtrusively snatching the bottle from him with his free hand. Unpleased Shane was looking after it. "See, we can work on this."
But as he was about to go on about how Shane should start actively facing his problems instead of avoiding and escaping them, Harvey felt a hand on the back of his head, how he was pushed forward and finally Shane's lips on his own.
