After school, Liz went home and changed into something more date like. If she was gonna go hunting for food with Rory alone in the woods, she wanted to look nice. She hoped Rory would understand the assignment and also dress nice.
Liz’s parents were going out tonight of course, so she said bye to them before she went out. She said she was walking to the convince store down the street to get some drinks and snacks for tonight. She wasn’t entirely lying. She was going down the street to get a drink and snack.
When Liz left the house, she quickly flew towards the spot in the forest where she was suppose to meet Rory. When she got there, on the stump was Rory who was bouncing his leg up and down in eagerness. Rory noticed when Liz got there when she landed only because she stepped on a twig immediately. He quickly got up from the stump and smiled at the girl.
“H-hey.” Rory greeted her. “Hey.” She waved before walking over to him.
“You look nice.” Rory pointed to her. Liz’s cheeks heat up. “T-thanks.” She smiles. “You too. I like the tie.” She strolls up to the boy. A coat of blush forming on Rory’s cheeks.
They both stand there and admire each other. They both forgot about the awkwardness after they woke up in the hall. They were lost in the moment. They both thought of this as a small date, but they would never admit it to the other that they did.
The walk was awkward at first since they had to go find animals. But once they both heard and saw a rat off in the distance, they immediately both ran after it. They did this a lot when looking for food. They would always make it a competition to see who could get the prey. They loved it. It was always a fun moment to add to their hunts. This time they got to the rat at the same time. It was in Liz’s hand and Rory’s was over hers. They were both on their knees.
