"NO!"
That was all Dream cried out before he collapsed.
Cross ran over to Dream(Yes this will be Cream, it's one of my favourite ships, fight me).
"Hey, it's ok, we can help fix him."
"NO, WE CAN'T! IT WAS IN THE SOUL! And it's all my fault..."
Nightmare coughed up some goo and blood.
"Urghhh... Dream, if this was your goal, you've done it. Leave."
Dream and the Star Sanses left through the portal Ink made.
The Bad Sanses brought their boss through teleportation.
"It's ok, Boss. We're gonna fix you."

The lighter one and the darker one have been fighting for years.
The lighter one thought if his brother has forgotten him.
Unbeknownst to him, Dream has been trying to connect to the lighter one for years.
In his desperation, Dream succeeded. With a little help from Fate.
"NO!"
The lighter one awoke, hearing his brother's voice.
"Dream?"
The lighter one shed a tear. His brother hasn't forgotten him.
At Fate's palace, Fate smiled.
His plan was working.
The lighter one woke up. With newfound determination, and the added help of the arrow, which hit the goopy part of the soul, he stood, hearing something.
"ARGHHHHHHHHHH!"
hollered the darker one as it screeched in pain from the arrow, momentarily distracted.
Taking the chance, the lighter one ran, he ran for his life, for his freedom,
for his brother.

Passive woke up in a tube. He, having a personality, panicked.
"What should I do?"
In an attempt, he tried to break the glass.
With plot, he succeeded, yet again. (STOP BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL, NARRATOR)
After he got out, he...
teleported.
He teleported to the outside of the castle. And ran.
He ran and ran and ran and ran. Until he reached a cliff.
"No... It's a dead end, what can I do?"
At Fate's palace:
What could he do, Fate asked himself.
Nothing.
Fate knew this. However, he was questioning if he should help or not.
He could create a portal to a random AU.
However, King Multiverse would know, and would certainly punish him.
But he desperately wanted this happy ending.
Maybe, just maybe, it was worth the punishment.
So he took the chance, and created the portal.
The King was notified. However, he was not furious nor angry,
He was glad.
He, like Fate, wished the Dreamtale brothers one happy ending.
"The tragic story has gone on for far too long. It is time to change destiny and find the happy ending the brothers deserve."
So he ignored it.
And started talking with Love about how to get Dream and Cross to date.

A portal opened in front of Nightmare.
Passive was certainly suspicious. A voice was saying,
"Don't go. Stay here and let the people find you."
"What if they are villagers?"
"JUST DO IT!"
At this point, Nightmare knew.
"NO! I know you're that creature inside my head. Stop your nonsense and let me live my life!"
"It's my life too, you know..."
And so the voice disappeared.
And Passive stepped through the portal to the AU.
But he would come back. He would always come back.
