Jentzen's POV
The past week felt as if it had passed in a blur. Lev had spent almost every second of it with Cameron, to the point where he was becoming more and more like him. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he has a new friend, but I couldn't help feeling as if with every passing moment the Lev I knew was slipping more and more away from me, down to even the way he treated me.
Everytime he walked into the room with Cameron, it was always "hey bro", "what's up bro", "see ya later bro". If he called me 'bro' one more time I swear I might finally lose my sanity. As if on cue, in walked Lev, with Cameron following closely behind him. "Heyyyy what's up bro!" He greeted me cheerfully, giving me a friendly pat on the back. I forced a small smile, trying to pretend it didn't bother me.
"Me and Cameron have the funniest story to tell you, you'll never guess what happened today" Lev began, already struggling to get his words out through his laughter. "Bro noooooo you can't tell him about that" Cameron responded, laughing even harder and hitting Lev's shoulder. I cleared my throat, standing up. "Uh actually I was just about to go find Piper" I smiled, walking out of the room before either of them had the chance to stop me - not that they would.
I walked up the stair's to Pipers house and opened the door to her room. Immediately as I entered, I saw her and Emily laying on her bed, holding hands and giggling at something on her phone. "Hey guys" I mumbled, forcing a small smile. I walked over to Piper's bed, worming my way in between both of them and laying down in the middle.
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything" I joked, causing Piper to slap my shoulder. "What's wrong, why aren't you hanging out with the boys?" She questioned. I shrugged. "I guess I'm not really one of the boys. At least, they've never treated me like one. I don't know, I just have a lot on my mind these days" I admitted honestly.
Emily's POV
I snorted a little, trying to hold back my laughter. "Wow Jentzen, maybe you aren't one of the boys, you're even sounding like a girl" I joked. Jentzen rolled his eyes at me, but I could tell he was trying not to laugh. "That's so not funny" he whined.
I forced myself to hold back a giggle as me and Piper smiled exchanged a teasing look. "Since you're basically one of the girls now, you should come to a girls night sleepover. Elli has a dance thing or something, so you can fill in for your ex girlfriend" I joked, preparing for Jentzen to shoot me an annoyed glare when suddenly he sprung up and turned to me with wide eyes of excitement.
"REALLY?!" He exclaimed, a wide smile beaming. "That would be so nice, I've really needed someone to talk to lately, it feels like I've been all on my own and it would be so fun to hang out with you guys!" He cheered. Much to my surprise, my joke went right over Jentzen's head and he took it as a genuine invitation.
Seeing how excited he got it was too much for me to crush his spirit and tell him I was only joking, so I raised an eyebrow at Piper in questioning, asking her permission to let him come. She shrugged, but eventually nodded. "Uh, yeah, of course you can come Jentzen. Anything for a friend..." I nervously laughed.
Jentzen hugged both me and Piper, thanking us both. "You don't know how much I've needed some time to talk to someone, even just to hang out and have fun. Is there anything I should bring? I don't know, I've never been to a girls sleepover before" he rambled nervously.
"Don't worry, we'll handle everything" Piper chuckled, shaking her head at Jentzen. Me and Emily got a matching pair of PJ's but I'll go out and grab a third pair for you, the ones we got from the store were actually from a matching set of three anyways."
Jentzen smiled from ear to ear, clearly excited. "Awesome! I'm gonna go home and pick up some stuff, I'll come back a bit later in the day" he grinned, getting off the bed and leaving Piper's room. Before he left, he poked his head around the door. "Thank you guys again, it means a lot that you invited me to hang out."
Once he left, I turned to Piper who was raising an eyebrow at me. "I thought it was supposed to be just us tonight" she hummed, folding her arms over at me. I pouted at her. "Aw come on, did you SEE HIS FACE? I couldn't turn him down like THAT, he looked like an excited puppy" I explained. Luckily, Piper wasn't mad as she broke out into a smile.
"Hmm, who knows? It could be fun to make Jentzen do a bunch of girly stuff with us."
