Bradley POV

Bradley made it to the gym. When he arrived, he saw the whole gang: Phoenix, Coyote, Payback, Hangman, and Bob. They all had a million questions as to how Elena was doing, most of them not knowing until the night before what had happened. Hell, no one had even known you two were together until last night, besides Phoenix.

"How is Elena, man? I swore to her we wouldn't tell you," Payback instantly found you as you stepped foot into the gym.

"She's okay, man. Thanks for asking."

"I'm just saying, we'll beat a dudes ass if we have to. You know we all got your back, Rooster," Coyote remarked.

"Also, when did you even land a girl like that, birdman?" You didn't even have to turn around before you knew who was talking: Hangman.

"Is someone jealous that he didn't land her first, Bagman?" Phoenix joked, somewhat. Hangman seemed to irritate everyone, but you two had become friends since he saved yours and Maverick's asses on the mission.

"I'm happy for you guys, don't get me wrong. I just didn't know, it was a surprise, that's all. I mean, how is Mav doing with all of this?" Hangman replied, dismissing Phoenix's remark.

"Maverick gave us his blessing. And both he and I have put the past in the past," you replied. "She's amazing. She's everything I ever wanted in a woman, but never had the luck of finding. She's a total badass, but allows me to take care of her. I don't know, myself, how I landed her to be honest, Jake."

Hangman was taken aback by you calling him by his first name, but he couldn't deny that it made him happy. He felt that you two were on the way to becoming friends, something he never knew he wanted. "Well, I'm happy for you man. Don't mess it up, I expect an invite to the wedding," he patted you on the back and walked off to the weight bench with a chuckle.

Phoenix came over as you were doing bicep curls to join you. "Did you hear? Bagman is an instructor here now as well. He got offered the position this morning." She stated as she picked up the 20 pound weights, one in each hand.

"That's awesome. What about the rest of you guys?"

"I got offered a position up North, so I think I'm going to take some time off and then head that way. But, I'll be back whenever the wedding is. Oh, and I expect to be godmother," she laughed.

You couldn't deny that you were blessed with not only the best woman this life had to offer you, but the greatest friendships as well. Even with the shitty things you were going through right now, you had to look on the bright side sometimes too.

You finished up your workout, and headed back to your place to clean up. You hadn't been to your own house in a few days, and you wanted to give Elena a little bit of space, knowing she needed her own time to recharge.

Elena's POV

You were on FaceTime with Juliana, introducing her to your pup, and filling her in on all that's happened. She was pissed, to say the least.

"Um, WHY ARE YOU JUST NOW TELLING ME THIS?! How dare you keep this from me! Im going to stick my size 6 shoe up that guys ass so far, he can taste the leather!" Jules was fuming. You knew you shouldn't have waited to tell her what was going on, but life had been crazy the last few days.

"I'm sorry Jules, it's just been so crazy here with the mission, Bradley, Phillips, and everything in between."

"I just booked my flight. I'll be there at 6 pm tonight. I'm not taking no for an answer. And, you know I like chocolate chips in my pancakes." With that, she hung up the phone. You knew she meant business.
