"Elena? Are you okay?" Pete answered on the other end of the line, his voice laced with sleep.

"Pete, there's someone in the house. Bradley just went out into the kitchen. He locked Luna and I in the bedroom." You rushed out all at once.

You heard the cock of Penny's shotgun. "I'm on my way. Stay where you are." With that, you heard the click of the line.

Bradley POV

I made my way into the kitchen, with only the dim light above the stove allowing me to make out my way to the kitchen. I first saw the shattered vase of roses on the floor, that I had left for Elena earlier. I bought the pink roses, as they were always her favorite. Pete had mentioned that her grandfather used to buy them for her. I turned to see a male figure standing in the kitchen, black hoodie over his head. I knew in an instant that he was the guy I had been just waiting to unleash on.

"You really shouldn't have, mother fucker. But I'm sure glad you did," I muttered angrily.

He stood up from his bent position, and turned to look in my direction. I noticed he had taken the photo Elena had on her fridge of her and Luna, and held it in his hand.

"No Pete? I expected a second chance to meet him in Elena's house. Not surprised she found another man. She always seemed like a whore." He replied, his voice deep.

Yup, that did it. I lunged forward at his waist, knocking him into the kitchen counter. He elbowed me in the back, but I had too much adrenaline now to be sore. I wound up, and my fist met his face. About that time, the door sprung open, and lights turned on.

"Stay where the fuck you are," I heard Pete. I turned around and he had the shotgun pointed at Phillips.

"Oh, how cute. Two boys coming to save the bitches day," the man laughed.

About that time, Elena came out from the side, I hadn't even known she was there. She kicked him in the groin, and then kneed him in the face. "Correction: this bitch helped saved her own day, mother fucker." If I didn't love her before, I truly did now. Badass was an understatement. I quickly grabbed her away from the man. His face was bloody, and he was crouched on the floor. Penny had called the police, and called Ace. Not long after, they all had shown up to her house.

The police took statements, and Ace had filled them in on previous issues as well, just to remind them. "A badass in the air, and a badass on the land, aren't you Blaze?" Ace said with a smirk.

"Bradley did most of the damage, I just had to get at least one hit in," she replied, with a soft smile on her face.

The police took Phillips, and stated that he was to be locked away behind bars. Pete and Penny made sure we were alright, and they left back to their house after the commotion had died down. I took Elena back inside, and locked everything up once again. It was now 4 AM, and I wasn't sure if we would either be getting anymore sleep tonight.

We decided to make a pot of coffee, cut up a few bagels, and head out to the cliffs to watch the sunrise. It was Sunday morning, and it was my last day off before my first day of instructing tomorrow. I wanted to spend it with what seemed to be my little family now. We took Luna and headed out in the bronco, with the breeze hitting our skin as we drove down the road.

I parked at the cliffs as the sun was about to rise. Elena poured our cups of coffee, and we shared a bagel. Luna crawled between us with her bone, and it was a peaceful moment that I wanted to cherish.

"Bradley, I meant it when I said I wanted you to be with us. All of the time. Permanently." She said to me, in a hushed voice.

"I know, baby, and that's what I want too. I'll gather some more of my things later today."
