She turned to him with a smile that she tried to fight. "If we make it out of this you owe me a least five movie nights." the girl rushed out wide eyed.
Miles simply scoffs, "Don't phrase it like I have a choice otherwise." His words were immediate...

MILES DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK, He's always trying to find ways to mask his emotions, sometimes with physical pain. That's why he has spent the last few years of his life covering his skin, hiding.
But nothing will be able to take away the agony of this. Of finding out he has these powers, these powers that he can't control, that he's scared of.
When Miles closes his eyes he almost thinks it's a dream.
Miles Morales was furious, but more importantly, he was disappointed. He was disappointed in himself, he was upset because he wasn't able to fight back. That's all he had to do, was get up and fight.
He felt weak, pathetic.
He hated feeling like this.
He fought against those restraints. He fought as hard as he possibly could pulling and stretching his arms out as far as conceivable. He also used all his strength to jump in the chair, to wriggle, but it was no use.
When Miles thinks back on it, he can't help but regret everything that came out of his mouth tonight. Everything but, the words he said to you. Everything but the way he held you close and told you the truth.
Miles doesn't regret that.
Maybe this is how things are supposed to be. Maybe this is yet another thing he has been wrong about and the two of you were never meant to be like he had thought.
She shouldn't be with a guy like me anyway.
She deserves better. I have to stay away.
But I know... deep down... I couldn't even if I tried
Sitting in that chair made the boy want to give up. He didn't want to, but what could he do? How was he supposed to help when he can't control his powers, how can he help when he can't even tell the girl he loves that he loves her?
It's been a good thirty minutes of him just sitting there with his thoughts and his thoughts alone. Being alone with your thoughts is a dangerous game and Miles was playing it solo.
He had to get out of here, but how? What would he do? How would he help? He couldn't even defend himself from Peter, a man that wasn't going to cause him any harm. How was he supposed to defend himself against enemies that had his death on their minds?
It was then he heard a light knock on his door.
"Miles, uh." It was his dad. The boy perked up with excitement but then he remembered, he was there when Aaron died. His shoulders slumped back in place.
"It's your dad, please open the door." Miles heard his dad sigh a stressed breath, "I can see your shadow moving around." It's not like he could go up to the door and open it so all he could do was sit there and listen.
