She turned to him with a smile that she tried to fight. "If we make it out of this you owe me a least five movie nights." the girl rushed out wide eyed.
Miles simply scoffs, "Don't phrase it like I have a choice otherwise." His words were immediate...
DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG, and your parents would tell you the stupidest things? Like how thinking before you acted was crucial?
Yeah, I remember that too.
You wish you had listened to them.

✧︎ Miles was floored.
He climbed KingPin's body and ripped you from his clutches. He doesn't have time to check on you but he doesn't miss the way your eyes glow a unfamiliar purple.
It simmers down and it's as if you gain consciousness for the first time. You're awaken and brand new. You felt different, it was a good different? Could you tell? No, you couldn't.
He's holding you tight. His hands hold your arms and he gives you a quick shake, "Y/n, you gotta get out of here." You nod unconsciously. The words go in your ear and out the other but your legs carry you forward. But you weren't the one moving them.
What happened to you?
Miles turns to his enemy to find him holding up a taxi car ready to throw. He throws it and Miles evades he soars through the sky with you in his arms. The boy realized the mistake of his words. The three of you were floating in the middle of the room, there was no way you were going to be able to get to a safe place.
Miles drops you off at the scientist wing, the same place that his father was at, which gives him a small chance to check you over. "What happened? Are you alright? Were you hurt?" Miles rushes you he doesn't give you a second to catch your breath. His panicked filled eyes are looking you over without hesitation. He's squeezing your cheeks your lips puffing out, he's watching the way your eyes widen out of confusion. Miles is all over you.
"I'm okay! Don't worry about me you still have to shut that thing down!" You were right, but Miles didn't care. He couldn't give two flying fucks about that right now.
He could have lost you.
That's it.
That's all that needed to be said.
You push him away from you, "You gotta get back out there." Miles is conflicted. He doesn't want to leave you, every time he leaves you find your way back.
"I'll go, but you have to promise me you'll stay." His forehead is on yours, "Please stay." He begs you quietly, desperate for you to stay put. Every time you try and help you end up in danger. He doesn't want to say it but you're doing more harm then good for him.
You let out a reluctant sigh, "I promise." And you promised him. You filled his heart with what he needed.
And Miles feels a weight lift off his shoulders, the doubt was still in his heart but you had given him your word and that's all you could do to persuade him.
