So we have Aysel here, Her name is Blanca Soler. Let me know, who you think would suit this role the most.
{special note: This chapter is a mixture of Aiden's POV and Third POV.}
I sigh for the nth time standing in front of the white porch and try to take a step forward. 'Try' being the keyword. It's been four years since I last came here, I had no courage nor excuse after Isra went away. I tried coming here many times, but just couldn't.
I have no idea why my hands are all clammy or why my heart is racing, is it because I don't want to deal with oldie? But the thumping of my heart says otherwise, I am 'Aiden Dev Sai' and I am not a coward. I fear no one(exception being when the ladies in my life are crying or angry or worst case both.) many people look up at me in admiration and many in envy, and many trembled in fear.
Just then something clicked, his iris dilated a bit before going back to normal. He chuckled sadly because he realized all these feelings were his subconscious trying to remind him of the absence of certain someone in the house. He shook his head as if to cut off the nonsense thoughts and took a deep breath. With his much more stable hands, he reached the doorbell and finally pressed it.
*click*
The door opened the very next second and A man in a black suit comes into my sight, His wrinkles were much more prominent than the last time I had seen him but the stern and cold eyes that always looked down on almost everybody were still the same. But something was different. What was it I couldn't place my finger on? Was it hope? but without further ado, I acknowledged him "Vi". He was one of Aysel's favourite people and someone whom oldie kept by her side.
"I thought you would never press the bell, Sai welcome back. Mrs Desai was waiting for you." Vi said with a professional smile he always had on his face. He was someone nobody knew about, except for his name, if you would call it. He said that calling him Vi made him feel young. No one but Mrs Liliah knew about him, anything and everything about this man standing in front of me would always end into a 'no results found.' g00gle search. When we were kids, Aysel used to ask him for his full name but he always used his sweet-treat-trick to get out of her questions and as we still don't know his full name, I must admit he was a successful sly trickster. But
he was also one of those who I held much respect for, rumor has it that he was beside Mrs Lilah for the longest anyone could remember. In other words, even before she got married. It is said, she put forth a condition that she would only marry if Vi could be by her side after marriage. But that's a story of some other time. I nodded at him once and allowed him to lead me to the oldie. Once we reached in front of the door, he announced my entrance and asked me to enter. I shook my hands a bit as if to shake off the nervousness. I looked up at Vi for one last time and he gave me an encouraging smile. I nodded once and with a sigh entered.

"Sai, come in young man, have a seat." Mrs Lilah Desai gestured towards the couch in her office, while lowering her glasses with the other hand. She usually avoided them unless necessary.
"Vi, Tea." She said through the intercom, closed her files and kept her glasses on the top of her table.
"Hello Oldie, Thanks." I greeted her as I sat on the couch and took my surroundings in for a bit. Just as I made myself comfortable, she joined me there
"Sai! Why are you late? I was worried for my granddaughter, you didn't do anything stupid there, Did you?" I winced, okay here she goes people. Wait- people? urgh, I think it's exhaustion seeping in.
"You don't have an ounce of faith in me not making a commotion, Do you?" I asked, getting irritated.
"Well, history supports my claim." she retorted with a smirk.
"Don't you think you should forget something from more than a decade ago? I always take my decisions rationally" My brow twitched.
" Have you ever been rational when it comes to her?" She asked me, raising her eyebrow slightly. She always knows what to speak.
"You are becoming bolder, it seems like you have forgotten who I am, oldie. I am only sparing you because of Ada." I say, leisurely leaning back into the couch, crossing one leg over another.
"Don't you dare bring my granddaughter between our arguments! Just because she liked you when she was a kid. Doesn't mean she will forever." She hissed coldly.
"I trust my lov- ahem my feelings... And It's okay if she doesn't choose me in the end, I will always have her back." He said with firmness in his voice.
Lilah smiled inwardly knowing what he was going to speak. He could keep on denying all he wanted but he couldn't hide his true feelings from someone who knew how to read people. She knew even when he got to know that Aysel chose that small d*ck, he didn't show it and smiled at her, but he was devastated knowing that the love of his life could no more be his.
She also knew now that he was given a chance to earn Aysel's love he won't give up. Given he would still back out if she doesn't choose him. Again. He's a person who Lilah could trust, but she never let him have his way without arguing with him, why? The reason was simple: It was too fun to tease him.
"So, now tell me what that doctor said." Lilah said seriously.
"So the doctor said..." Aiden explained everything to Lilah, including Aysel's leg condition.
Lilah was silent for a while and then showed her concern for Aysel's reaction. Aiden asked her "You'll break the news to her till then make sure no one else knows about it.. "
"Yeah, I'll tell Vi to -"
"Not even Vi!" Aiden hissed
"Why? Vi is my comrade, He would die before betraying me." She said coldly. It felt like the temperature of the room dropped by a few degrees. '
Sigh "Calm down oldie I didn't mean that. What I am saying is, ''First we tell Ada about her condition and then to the world. What do you think will happen when she gets to know from the news or other people instead of us? Would that do any good? Just think about it!" He tried to keep his calm but she was making it difficult.
After thinking about it for some time, Lilah finally sighed.
"When we tell Aysel, Vi stays there." She said with finality in her voice. Aiden knew she was not open to any negotiating on this matter.
"Deal." Aiden nodded, standing up from the couch, and Lilah followed suit. They shook hands and Lilah called Vi as they walked out of the office. Soon Vi came and stood waiting for Lilah's orders
"I won't see you out, I am going to my room. Keep me updated" She informed the men and asked Vi to see him out. Vi led Aiden to the front door "Come back soon." He said
"I will."Aiden said with a ghost of a smile on his face.
Sitting in his car he thought, 'Now that wasn't so bad was it?' with that he drove off towards the hospital.
