Third POV:

*3 years later.*

The knocks were getting louder each time her hand hit the door, but the sleeper thought avoiding it would make the sleep-hunting demon go away, she already had a nightmare haunting her sleep, every night. But sleeper should have reasoned better. The knocks ceased as the knocker entered the password and entered the apartment, walking straight to the sleeper's room after removing her heels. The room screamed gloominess with all the lights off and thick curtains not letting any light come in. An average person would not have been able to spot a thing in the room. Still, as someone who had been here countless times over the last two years and knew the layout as the back of her hand, it was easy to stride through the room and reach the other end. The sleeper is still unmovingly wrapped in a duvet, which just pissed the knocker off even more.

"Should have known your sleepy ass would be still in bed." The knocker said as she opened the curtains inviting the afternoon sun rays into the room then marching towards the bed, she flung the sleeper's duvet, "IT'S 3 PM!!" Aysel lazily woke up and stretched her arms, a lazy smile tugged her face, "Good morning Issie to you too."

*Aysel's POV:*

She sat on the edge of my bed and took my state in. "You had that nightmare again." I knew it wasn't a question, there was no point denying it.

'If only I could elude these nightmares...' I thought shaking my head, 3 years had passed, and I had made peace with my nightmares, they still made their presence known now and then but were much less frequent than in my rehabilitation phase.

"Aysie? Are you alright?" concern shone in Isra's eyes.

"Yes, ma'am! I am fine!" She raised her eyebrow but let it go when I tried changing the subject. "Where are we going again?"

"Don't tell me you forgot about our date today, my darling." She said, playfully glaring at me, to which I smiled sheepishly, still trying to remember where we were supposed to go today. "It's alright... get ready now. Think of it as a surprise." I climbed out of my bed hurriedly and lost my footing. I closed my eyes and waited for my fall, but Isra caught me and steadied me with ease, "Woah there, my lady, calm down. We're already late, it's fine."
"Thanks," I said and dashed towards the bathroom.

An hour later, we were ready to leave. We went down to the entrance of the building, where Issie's car was waiting for us. Swiftly we settled into the car, and Issie nodded at her driver, signalling him to start driving.

Soon we reached the place and hopped out of the vehicle. My eyes widened in horror when I saw the restaurant, "Sky Larc", the board read. It was a high-end place, where it was hard to make reservations, sometimes it even took months! But that wasn't my concern right now. Nannu had a separate table reserved for her business meetings. Going with her for those lunches and dinners made me familiar with the place, but that was nannu whenever Isra took me to this place, it was only for one reason and I was so not looking forward to it.

"Aysie, c'mon!" 'Oh no! Crap. Is it too late now to say sorry and run away?' I silently pleaded to her, but Issie remained/pretended to remain oblivious to my cries and dragged me in any way. We were greeted by the manager of Sky Larc on entering, bowing to us in respect.

I sighed in defeat, there was no way I could run away now. The manager guided us to our private room and informed us that a waiter would be soon with us to take our orders and excused himself.

I decided to take advantage of this silence to test Isra giving her a last chance to change her mind, "So? Isn't this a big room for two people?" I crooked my eyebrow at her. She let out a nervous chuckle confirming my doubts, "You know they say the bigger, the better!" I rolled my eyes at her miserable attempt to crack a double-meaning joke. "This is not supposed to be funny—" the door of our room opened and a waiter entered with our menus, We took them from him. Lily shot him a smile and the guy flushed, rolling my eyes, I skimmed through the menu, skipping the alcohol section and chose lime water for the starters and Isra ordered the red wine, I frowned at her, 'She doesn't even like red wine!', she sensed my stare on her and looked at me, understanding the unasked question she answered me, "Oh, I am trying to cut on beer, my manager said that I am gaining weight." She awkwardly laughed and I knew it wasn't all but I couldn't ask further in presence of the waiter therefore, I had to let it go for the time being. The waiter soon excused himself and without missing a beat the door opened once again. Looking at Isra's full-blown smile, I knew this was it.
