STEFAN SALVATORE and Elena Gilbert walked throught the halls of the Mystic Falls Hospital,  heading towards the room the nurse had told them John was in. 
"Ready for this?" Stefan asked his girlfriend as they stood by the door. Taking a deep breath in, Elena found the courage to step inside the confined space, Stefan followed in behind her. 
Sighing, the Doppleganger took notice of all the machines and IV's that were attached to the man she believed to be her uncle for years. 
"John?" she spoke softly, as he laid asleep. 
As his eyes fluttered open, he immediately panicked seeing the familiar brunette, reaching for his buzzer to alert the nurse. But Stefan was much faster than the weakened man, as he grabbed his wrist and ripped it out of his hand. 
"I'm Elena. I'm not--I'm not Katherine" she assured him, calming him down slightly, but he still eyed her suspiciously, because that's exactly what Katherine would say. 
"We know she did this to you" Stefan said, as he came to stand by his girlfriend's side. 
"We need to know why" Elena stated. 
"Where is she?" John Gilbert breathlessly asked.
"You tell us" Stefan retorted. 
"I don't know." John tried to move into a seat position, but Stefan was quick to force him back down. 
"You're a little too weak to play tough guy. Why don't you just sit back and answer a few questions." 
Elena gently placed the Gilbert ring back on John's finger, "Please, tell us why she's here. What does she want?" 
Stefan let a frustrated sigh leave his lips when John refused to answer the question, "She'll try again. We can't help you if you don't confide in us." 
"In you?" John sneered, quirking an eyebrow. 
"In your daughter then."
