KATHERINE PIERCE sat on the floor inside the tomb under the old church ruins, flipping through the many pages of Bo Mikaelson's journal, while Elena Gilbert crouched down in front of the doorway, "So, how much of your little story is true?" she questioned her doppelganger, breaking the long silence that fell over them. Katherine Pierce was a natural born liar, so Elena Gilbert would be damned if she wasn't going to question every sing thing she had heard today. 
A long sigh left Katherine's lips, "I have no reason to lie, Elena." 
The Gilbert girl pushed herself to her feet and started to pace the corners of the cave. 
"I have no reason to do anything but sit here and read and rot."
"Okay, assuming it's even partially true, that's the reason why you came back, isn't it? Because you wanted to be the one to hand me over to Klaus."
Katherine sighed, placing the journal on the ground, as she pushed herself to her feet, using the wall as leverage, groaning as her body still ached, "You want to know what happened to Bo Mikaelson five hundred years ago?" 
Elena nodded her head, she would be lying if she said she wasn't curious. 
"Klaus took him." A darkness flashed in the vampire's eyes, as she gripped onto the cobbled stone tightly. 
Elena's eyes almost jumped out of their sockets, "He's alive?!" She was sure he was dead. 
"Yes. But he is in complete agony. Drained and desiccated, while his body is starved of blood. I figured if the price was high enough, Klaus would be willing to strike a deal. I get my freedom and he releases Bo to me. And I finally get my happily ever after. By God, have I waited long enough." 
"So, you manipulated Mason Lockwood to find you the moonstone?" 
"Right again" Katherine mock-cheered. "But you're missing one little important detail." 
Elena frowned in confusion, having no idea what she was talking about. 
"I'm the reason his little girlfriend was taken in the first place. I practically handed her over to Klaus myself."
