The next day had come and let's say Alexia being in a tense mood was and underestimation.
The brown haired athlete stumbles into the therapy room, her crutches clicking harshly onto the floor as she walks towards the desk, approaching the blonde standing there as she puts her sticks into its holder.
"Hello Alexia... is everything okay?", the blonde wonders, immediately recognizing that something wasn't okay at all, when she saw Alexia, taking the handrail as she starts walking towards the water station like she had been the day before.
Erin quickly makes her way towards the captain, seeing Alexia's tensed expression and her sad face as the athlete was walking quicker than she should at that state, not being focused at all.
"Alexia?", the blonde asks, trying to hold the midfielder by the wrist but Alexia pulled out of that grip, not meaning this in a mad way.
She just wasn't in the mood.
"Please, stop it", the blonde suddenly says, her voice a little harsh as she stands in front of Alexia, blocking her way as she wraps her hand tightly around the handrail, keeping the brown haired woman from getting further.
Alexia just stares to the ground, seeming stressed out when the blonde takes her time to study the captain for a moment.
"You can talk to me... what's wrong?", Erin asks with a soft voice, standing still in her position because she knew the second she'd move the athlete will keep going.
"It's... it's stupid", Alexia shrugs, looking past the therapist as she makes out a plan how to get out of that situation as fast as possible, not wanting to bother the blonde with such a stupid thing.
"Like I said, you can talk to me. Tell me what's going on", the blonde offers with a sweet smile, making the athlete look up at her as Alexia felt her breathing slow down a bit.
"The second match is today...", the midfielder mumbles, eyes now glued to the floor yet again when she suddenly feels Erin's hand on hers, making her tense up underneath that touch as she looks up at the blonde that was standing close to her.
"I know... against Germany", the therapist mumbles, offering a small smile when she sees Alexia nodding.
Erin didn't need to say something else to let the athlete know that she was feeling sorry for her. Being here at the rehabilitation center was probably feeling like the loser card while her teammates were there in England rocking that pitch.
"I feel like crying every time I think about it... I hate that situation", the captain admits sadly, holding tightly around the handrail when she feels Erin's thumb stroking small circles over the back of her hand, finding that touch somehow comforting.
"Must be extremely hard", Erin breathes, not sure what to say but at least she wanted to try and comfort the Spanish captain in some way, maybe offering her to listen would be a great start.
"Seeing them on the pitch makes me wanna step in the next plane and join the match with this fucking injury", Alexia murmurs, hating the fact that she wasn't in control over this situation.
She hated it so damn much that it hurt more than the injury itself.
"I believe you're feeling that way...", the blonde whispers, trying to calm the captain with her words when she lifts Alexia's free hand with hers, holding onto it which makes the captain look up at her with those hazel eyes.
"Let's try and concentrate on the therapy today, maybe you'll be able to stand up for a cheer tonight when Spain scores a goal", Erin suggests, trying to cheer the injured woman up a little which just makes Alexia shrug.
