Only Hope [SDR2 Komahina]

Part One: Surprise Visit

After the Nekomaru Nidai's murder case and Gundham Tanaka's execution, the remaining seven people were finally returned to their cottages to get a good night sleep. Hajime Hinata was exhausted from the starvation and the class trial.

"What an exhausting day..." Hinata sighed as he lied down on his bed then drifted off to a restless sleep.

*Ding dong, bing bong*

"Ahem... Hope's Peak Academy's School Trip Executive Committee has an announcement to make. Goooooood morning, everyone! Looks like today is gonna be another perfect, tropical day! Now then, let's show some enthusiasm and make sure to give it our all today!" Monokuma's high-pitched yet terrified voice rang throughout the cottage, signaling Hinata that it is already morning.

Hinata got up, took a bath and dressed up. It was a repetitive routine for him. He was about to go to the restaurant for breakfast but there was a knock on the door. He quietly sighed then opened the cabin door. His face was in shock as he saw someone who he didn't expect; it was Nagito Komaeda.

Nagito Komaeda was the very first person Hinata met in Jabberwock Island. He was relaxed and very nice to Hinata and the other students. However during the first trial, he had a complete twist to his personality. Because of that, everyone despised him or was afraid to go near him. Komaeda always talks about hope and being a stepping stone for everyone. He thinks that he is untalented and unworthy.

However, it's not the same for Hinata. Hinata isn't afraid of Komaeda, doesn't despise Komaeda and doesn't think that Komaeda is a worthless person. HInata felt something weird when he met Komaeda for the first time, like butterflies in his stomach or his heart beating so fast.

"Hello, Hinata." Komaeda smiled.

"Hi Komaeda..." HInata said flatly.

"Do you have anything to do later?" Komaeda asked then Hinata thought of it for a second and shook his head.

"Well, I was hoping that you'll go out with me? Just the two of us." Komaeda offered.

Hinata took two steps back when he heard the last five words. He stopped talking for a few seconds then started to think.

"Should I go with him or not? How bad could it be?" Hinata thought.

After few minutes of thinking, Hinata responded with a nod and Komaeda took few steps back and gasped, like he didn't expected it at all.

"Really? You will go with me? I never thought that you'll go someone like me." Komaeda said with his annoying laugh.

"There he goes again..." Hinata mumbled and sighed.

"I'll see you after breakfast then." Komaeda happily said and went somewhere else.

"This might going to be a long day..." Hinata sighed again then left his cottage to have breakfast at the restaurant.
