Only Hope [SDR2 Komahina]

Part Five: Fire and Bombs

It's been two days since the explosion and everyone started to be afraid of Komaeda, even Hinata. No one was willing to step forward and claimed themselves as the traitor. The remaining six survivors, not including Komaeda, have been searching for the bomb since the moment Komaeda walked away. However, Hinata was thinking about what happen if Hinata said yes to Komaeda's question.

The six remaining survivors finally found the source of the bombs, which is the warehouse. Nagito prepared a video message saying that to disarm the bomb, the traitor must come forward and scan their e-Handbook. However, the bombs were fireworks after Nanami scanned her e-Handbook.

The group went to the warehouse next door where the door was locked. Akane kicked the door open then strange music started to play. Shortly after Akane kicked the door, the whole warehouse suddenly went up in flames.

"I-It's on fire!" Souda yelled.

"Woah?! What is going on?!" Kuzuryuu yelled.

"F-For now, we must extinguish these flames! Let us hurry and put them out!" Sonia said.

"B-But how are we supposed to put this fire out?" Souda asked.

"There should be fire extinguishing supplies inside the factory break room." Sonia said.

As soon as Sonia said that, everyone rushed to the panic room and grabbed as much as fire grenades as possible. Right after everyone grabbing fire grenades, everyone rushed back to the warehouse and started to throw at the curtain, which causes the fire spread. However, the fire grenades didn't work at all.

"Th-This is bad. We've already used up all the fire grenades!" Kuzuryuu said while the fire continues to spread.

"Wh-What're we gonna do?! All we can do now is pray for rain!" Akane said.

"D-Don't be stupid! There's no way it'll conveniently start raining if we pray for it..." Souda yelled at Akane.

As if a miracle happened, the sprinklers in the warhouse turned on as soon as Souda stopped yelling. Everyone became dumbstruck, especially Souda.

"...It's raining?" Souda questioned as the water poured on the flames, turning into thin smoke then the fire was completely extinguished.

Everyone started talking but Hinata didn't listen to anyone. He was still worried about Komaeda. He was still thinking if Komaeda is still inside the warhouse. Hinata's heart started to beat faster than before and it won't settle down. Hinata felt really uneasy because of the twisted personality Komaeda has.

"Why do I feel so anxious?" Hinata asked to himself.

Everyone gathered their courage to enter the warehouse. The mixture of fear, bewilderment and anxiety has filled the air and everyone felt it. Everyone started to check their surroundings but then Hinata notice something across the warehouse.

Hinata saw the source of the intense malice he was feeling. It was a body with ropes tied on his arms and legs stretching four different directions. His eyes were wide open and his mouth was covered in duct tape. His legs was slashed and there was a knife on his right hand. There was also a spear with a large amount of blood stabbed right on his stomach. Everyone thought that this is the most brutal murder they have seen so far in the island.

By the time Hinata saw the body, time has stopped for him. He dropped his knees and placed his hands on his face then cried with the sense of mourning and despair. He didn't care if the rest of the group was watching him crying but he couldn't believe that his only hope gone. He saw the remains of Nagito Komaeda, the Ulitmate Lucky Student.

"T-This is all my fault..." Hinata murmured in sobs.
