Only Hope [SDR2 Komahina]

Epilogue: Only Hope...

It was the end of the fifth trial. They successfully solved the case of Nagito Komaeda's murder but it was exchanged with the executions of Chiaki Nanami and Monomi/Usami, who claimed as the traitors. Hinata felt really down because he lost two of his close friends. He was thinking that he should be executed instead because he made Komaeda do this to himself but he can't turn back time to the time where Komaeda kissed him because the deaths have already been done. Now there are only five survivors remaining in the island.

*Ding dong, bing bong*

"Ahem... Hope's Peak Academy's School Trip Executive Committee has an announcement to make. Goooooood morning, everyone! Looks like today is gonna be another perfect, tropical day! Now then, let's show some enthusiasm and make sure to give it our all today!" Monokuma's high-pitched voice rang throughout the cottage, signaling Hinata that it is already morning.

Hinata did his usual routine in the morning and left his cabin. However, he decided not to eat breakfast at the restaurant. Everyone knew how depressed Hinata was after the trial so everyone decided not to bother him today. Hinata walked his way to the 2nd island, where he remembered his kiss with Komaeda. He went to the place where him and Komaeda kiss, the beach by the beach house. He sat on the sand and looked up at the sky.

"Komaeda... I'm really... really sorry." Hinata said looking up the sky.

"I'm pretty sure that you are happy now because you found out who the traitor is. But, it's all my fault. If I could have said yes than running away then you wouldn't do this and Nanami wouldn't be executed. The truth is... I love you too but I couldn't say it that day because of what would others think of us. I don't want to get hurt or murdered because of this, that's why I said nothing at all. I regretted it, Komaeda. I really regretted it. But I will get out of this island for your and everyone's sake. But never forget that you are my only hope, Komaeda. I love you." Hinata said with tears streamed down on his face.

After looking up at the morning sky, Hinata got up and dusted the sand off his pants then left the beach house and spent the rest of his day in his cabin lying down on his bed.

"I love you, Komaeda. You're my... only hope..." Hinata mumbled and took his nap.
