I watch as my beautiful girl struggles to breathe, her breaths shaky and her eyes barely open.

I watch as she reaches out to Apollo who holds her hand.

Rylan shakes as he watches both of them. He barely managed to escape the wrath of those who attacked the twins and I was the one who saved him.

I know Missy would never ever forgive me if I was there and let something happen to him when I could've stopped it.

I noticed the people outside our house when Artemis left and I already knew it was too late to go after her.

She'd never answer my call when she was angry with me but I know she wasn't angry with me anymore, she was angry in general and I wish I could help her with that but she was independent and I respected that, so, so much.

I wish I'd have shown her a little more respect when we met but she told me she understood why I was so keen to rebel against the marriage.

I just wish I hadn't hurt her in the process.

I watch as she smiles at me with that beautiful smile of hers and she reaches her hand out and I go hold her other and she holds my face.

"I'm so glad you're here and I'm sorry for running out like that. I could've seen the people outside if I hadn't been angry with you for no reason." She says and I shake my head.

"I know you've been going through a lot and I know you need your own space." I say as I hold her face as she feels too weak to lift her arms for too long.

Someone knocks on the door and I open the door.

It's Indiana with flowers for her best friend.

I take her to Missy and Indiana starts sobbing as she hugs Missy softly and rubs her head.

"Mi sorella, how could you get yourself into trouble like this, how could you not tell me that you were in trouble?" She says as she holds Missy's hand. "I know I'm pregnant but having to hear about the whole situation with your dad this long after it happened is crazy."

Apollo looks at Indiana.

"Apollo I ought to beat the shit out of you." Indiana says as she looks at him but her eyes soften. "But I see my best friend in you and I could never do that. You should've come to Missy when you were in trouble, Rylan, you know she'd do anything to protect you."

"I know Indiana but I was scared, scared about the rest of our siblings who are completely safe because I've learnt that they live with a family who works for the government. I wish I'd have known before we tried to sort this shit show by ourselves and get these guys hurt." Rylan is upset.

"Rex would do anything to protect anyone, no matter what you've done." Missy says as she shits up.

The IV fluids were starting to kick in.

"That includes you silly girl." Indiana says as she hugs Missy again.

"Yeah, I honestly didn't think our dad would go that far but he did and he'll try again but I have a feeling some squashed that bug." She says as she smiles to herself. I never knew Missy had that little deviant smile but she did and Indiana knows about this one.

"What did you do?" Indiana says as she gets this identical smile on her face.

"Let's just say the superintendent became aware of what he's done and he's being moved to general population. Not my doing but deserved." Missy says and we all nod.

"I wonder who did it." Indiana says as she rubs her chin, falsely and she turns to Apollo. Apollo notices. "Let's just say there's a girl who looks very similar to me who's making a trip over here."
