You woke up at 2 am and moved back the curtains to gaze out the window. The parking lot was glazed in ice, and white specs fell down from the sky and your face lit up when you realized what was happening.

It was snowing.

You gasped in excitement and quickly shook Steve to wake him up. He groaned, slowly opening his pretty blue eyes.

"What is it Y/n? What time is it?" He husked.

"Steve! It's snowing outside, look!" You gestured towards the window. He grunted as he got up and made his way over to the window to have a look. A smile crept up on his face as he watched the snowflakes land onto the pavement and his car.

"Can we go outside and play in the snow? Pleaseeeee?" You pleaded and he chuckled.

"Sure. Anything for you doll."

So the two of you went outside and stood in the middle of the parking lot, gazing up at the sky and trying to catch snowflakes with your tongues. You loved this moment. It reminded you of when you were a kid and you and Kate would run outside to see the first snowfall.

Steve picked you up and twirled you around in the air while you giggled. This was definitely right out of a romance novel for sure.

He pecked you on the lips before putting you down and pulling you into a tight, warm embrace. You felt so safe and so comfortable in his arms, it felt so right.

And it was.

"You know, Y/n. I can see a future with you. The future with us." He said, breaking the silence.

You looked up at him, that familiar teasing glint in your eyes. "Oh yeah?" You teased.

"Yeah. Us living together in a place in Brooklyn. Me being a teacher at the local high school and you owning your own dance studio."

"I would love that, Steve."

Later that morning you took a walk around town, giving him a tour.

You passed by Ms. Parker's flowers an' Gifts shop and decided to walk inside to see if she was there. The bell rang when the two do you entered, and you took a look around.

Flowers on the right side of the store, neatly kept in refrigerated glass cases along with a display case with seeds of all different kinds of flowers.

On the left side had books, stuffed animals that had balloons attached that said stuff like 'congrats!' Or 'get well soon!', magazines and comic books, DVDs of all types, CDs, a wall arrangement of different greeting cards, and many other different gifts. The door to the back of the store was opened, and out popped Ms. Parker with a crate of flowers in her arms that was definitely too heavy for her.

Steve noticed her struggle and offered to help her.

"Aw thank you very much sir." She thanked.

"No problem ma'am." He replied.

She then looked to
Your direction.

"Oh my. Is that little Miss Y/n?" She gasped and you nodded with a smile. She wrapped her arms around your middle before letting go and stepping back.

"Hi Ms. Parker." You said.

"Oh Y/n, still 10 years later and we still have this? It's May." She chuckled.

"Alright then, May. How's the shop? How's Peter?"

"Oh the shop is going just fine I just got a new shipment in. And Peter's doing awesome. He's on his school's decathlon team."

"That's awesome! Has he won any competitions yet?"

"Many. He's one of the smartest kids on the team. Is this man your boyfriend?"

You looked towards Steve, now realizing he was right next to you.

"Yes he is. May, this is Steve Rogers. Steve, this is May Parker. I used to come here all the time as a kid and she'd let me help around the shop and look after me."

"Pleasure to meet you ma'am." He said, holding out his hand and she shook it. You got deja vu from that visit to your mom's house when she didn't shake his hand.

But Ms. Parker did.

She has always been like a second mother to you, and Peter being the younger brother you've never had.

"Pleasure is all mine." She said.

Later on, you guys headed to the diner to grab lunch before heading out on the road.

"Look what the cat dragged in. Y/n!" A cheery voice said from behind you. You turned to face the dark haired, beanie and glasses wearing girl.

"Darcy Lewis! What a pleasure!" You exclaimed as you held your arms out for a hug.

"It's been a while. What brought you into town?" She asked as she filled the now empty coffee mugs.

"Visiting mom and Ms. Parker of course." You replied.

"Awesome. And who might you be?" She nodded towards Steve.

"Steve Rogers, Y/n's boyfriend." He introduced himself.

"Ah, so you go to college for a few months and already have yourself a boyfriend? Damn." She said and you chuckled.

This was nice, just being here away from the troubles of school. Even if your mission wasn't accomplished.

You sighed, hoping your mom would come around soon. Or at least call.
