karina x female reader (slice of life, college au)

"you're.. leaving me?"

"i'm sorry y/n, i can't go against-"

"your father's will. i know rina."

there stood two figures facing each other and the sun was going down. a swing set right beside them.

y/n stood there, her arms behind her back as tears were forming in her eyes. the silence was interrupted by a ringing phone.

"i'm sorry y/n, i have to go." karina says as she clutched on the ringing phone she was holding.

"will.. you come back?" y/n asked with hope in her eyes. karina gulped and looked away from y/n's gaze.

y/n widens her eyes a bit and tears slowly fell from her eyes.

"karina, where are you? we're about to leave the house." the person on the other line of the phone spoke when karina accepted the call.

"i'll be right over." karina replied and ended the call.

"i have to go, i'm sorry y/n."

"i.. lo-" karina hesitated. "i'll contact you when i can." she said. the two looked back at each other with sad gazes.

y/n sniffed and used her left arm to wipe her tears, her right arm still behind her back. "then.. i'll find you! i'll get a side job and work hard. i'll find a way to get to you. i promise." y/n said and smiled softly. karina's gaze softened and smiled as well.

"i'll look forward to finding you then."
karina replied and the two looked at each other before karina took a step froward and wrapped y/n in a tight hug.

"i'll miss you." karina mumbles and as those words came out of her mouth,
y/n let all her tears flow and hugged her back.

once the two pulled away, karina smiled a little and started to step back. "goodb- i'll see you soon y/n." she says and the wind passes by, her hair flowing to the direction the wind was blowing.

"yeah. see you." y/n replied and gave her a tiny wave. with that, karina finally turns around and left the location. y/n stared at her figure fading away while wiping her tears.

once karina arrived back at their place, she was told to get in the car as they were about to leave. she sat down at the back as tears started flowing down from her eyes while she stares out the window.

i opened my eyes as the sun shines brightly through the window. i adjusted my eyes to the light and felt something wet on my cheek. i raised my arm to touch it and widened my eyes a bit. a tear drop.
