the night was silent. the moon was shining bright as the wind passed by ever so often. the soft sound of waves crashing on the shore every now and then added to the peaceful atmosphere.

karina can be seen sitting down under a palm tree and on a checkered pattern blanket, messily placed on the sand.

her hair flowing gently with the wind, sitting with her knees near her chest and arms wrapped around her legs.

with her head slightly raised up, she gazes upon the shining moon. a sad smile forms on her face before a tear slips away from her eye and falls on her cheek.

"y/n! let's go over there!"

"alright, alright. calm down rina." you let out a chuckle as you were being pulled by your girlfriend towards the shore.

"waahh.. it looks pretty." she says as her grip on your hand loosened and she watched the view in awe.

lately, both of you have been getting stressed from your work and jobs. finally having a long break from work, the both of you decided to go on a vacation trip. planning was definitely difficult since the two of you couldn't pick one place to go to.

but after having time to think, it was decided that it would be a small trip. going to different places one at a time and making sure the both of you were enjoying the trip.

this time, you took her out to your hometown and to the best beach there.

the sun had set and the moon had risen already. a few stars twinkled from here and there in the sky. some palm trees standing around with its leaves dancing gently with the wind.

something about being on the beach at night just feels different.. and cold.

you glanced at karina and saw her shiver a little from the cold when the wind passed by.

"i told you a sweater isn't enough." you said and started to take off your jacket. you wore two because you knew karina would say it'll be fine to just wear a sweater despite your warning that it'll be cold.

"wait, what about y- oh." she wanted to protest but seeing that you had another jacket made her stop as you gently placed the jacket around her.

her lips curled up into a smile and muttered a small "thank you" while putting on the jacket.

"come on, i'll show you my usual spot." you said and offered your hand to her, to which she gladly accepts. both of you started to walk with you leading and karina following next to you.

"you come here often?" karina asked.

"yeah, a lot when i was younger. the atmosphere feels calm.." you paused. "and it also feels like i'm the main character." you added and the two of you burst into a fit of chuckles.
