"i'm breaking up with you, i'm sorry."

the words that left her mouth hit me like a truck. i felt confused and taken aback.

"what do you mean?" i slightly raised my arm and wanted to hold her, but she took a step back. (STEP BACK SILLY GURL- k bad timing, sorry)

i widened my eyes before i felt them starting to water. i blinked it away and put back down my arm and stared into her eyes while she avoided mine.

she stood in front of me, under the only open lightbulb, near the door. she called to talk about something but i didn't know it would be this.

"i don't deserve you." she said and crossed her arms on her chest.

"you've been so good to me while i.. i don't even have time to be with you, yet you give everything you have. i just.. feel like you deserve someone better, just not me."

"karina, you've been busy and i get that. it's-"

"no! it's not okay! please.." she exclaimed and i saw her eyes watering and lips quivering. "..just leave."

i stared at her in disbelief. she didn't even let me finish.

"just please leave!" little did i know when i left, you let your tears fall from holding them back for too long.

i flinched as i awoke from someone calling my name.

"karina?" i said, not even thinking properly.

"no, it's kei." i finally adjusted my eyes to the light from the near window and sighed at the sight of kei standing next to my bed, holding a basket with clothes in it.

she looks confused. "dreamt of her again?" she asked and went to get the clothes around my room. "yeah.. but it was the break up that i dreamt of this time." i replied and sat up, resting my back on the headboard.

"hm, maybe you should go talk to her and try to solve this conflict. if she knows how much you love her, then she should've thought that what she did will hurt you a lot." kei said and finished gathering the clothes scattered around.
