"How Metis?", Apollo asked.

"First, Metis is the daughter of Oceanus, Apollo. Surely you remember.", Chiron pointed out.

"That explains the sea-owl in the prophecy.

"Metis can shapeshift too, Apollo", Chiron said.

"So, my theory is this. Metis must have been revived by Tartarus. He must have used her fatal flaw of hubris to trap her into helping him. She is the mother of Athena after all. She can easily shapeshift into any person.", Malcolm said.

"David's soul said about Annabeth going out to find Percy for a month. It was maybe at this time that she must have been kidnapped.", Percy pointed out.

"Exactly. Since Annabeth is her granddaughter, it is easy for Metis to impersonate her. And she has the knowledge and wisdom to imitate Annabeth.", Chiron said.

"Why did she do this? Why to kidnap Annabeth?", Percy asked.

"The prophecy may contain the answer. The owls are the key to unlocking the darkness.", Apollo pointed out.

"So, both Metis and Annabeth are required for the darkness to unlock. What is the darkness here?", Clarisse asked.

"Tartarus.", Percy whispered. The whole room dimmed for a few seconds. Everyone felt a shiver down their spine on hearing out that name.

"What?"

"Makes sense.", Malcolm pointed out. "And Tartarus could be that acquaintance in the prophecy."

"Guys. Please stop.", Nico scratched his head. All looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"We are overthinking it. We are assuming in the premise that Annabeth was lost well before she got lost in the quest. How are we to verify this whole theory?", Nico asked.

"And Metis is the Titaness of wisdom. How can she Charmspeak?", Piper pointed out. All of the campers looked surprised that they overlooked this simple fact.

"And a bigger problem. We need Percy if the theory you suggest is true. The love of the sea. If the owl is Annabeth then the sea is Percy. It is obvious. But.....", Will stopped as the weight of realization hit everyone hard.

"He is dead.", Apollo whispered, a tear streaking down his face.

"Let us just hope that your theory is false, Malcolm. No disrespect for your analytical skills. But if you are right, then we are totally screwed. We have lost Percy. We are defeated before the war began.", Nico said ominously. All the others gulped in fear. Percy was conflicted.

"Well, that is enough for the day. Get ready for the duels between the Warriors of Chaos and the Camp. It is planned for today remember?", Chiron said, trying to lift up the spirits.

"Oh Yeah! We are going to kick your ass.", Luke whooped in the air.

"Keep saying that to yourself.", Clarisse deadpanned. The tension was palpable.

"Let us meet at the arena. The best of the camp vs best of the warriors. It will help us plan the training we can impart you.", Percy/Anagennissi said with confidence.

"Don't talk too much. It is possible that we teach you something.", Clarisse smirked.

"Trash talk only?", Percy asked with an eye raised though none could see it through the cloak. This made Clarisse red and she stormed out of the room.

"Cabin Leaders disperse.", Chiron announced and the whole cabin bowed to Apollo before leaving the room, leaving Apollo, Chiron, and the two warriors alone.
