"Get out of this house NOW!" Mother was screaming.
I didn't know what to do. This pressure was too much for me. She was waving around a knife. They all knew he'd cheated when I was born, but why was they arguing about it now?
"You and that little bitch!" She was pointing at me and Dad.
What did I do wrong?
She was scaring me.
"She's 12 you fucking cunt! Don't you dare talk about Rose like that!" Dad turned to me "Remember that old cabin we go to on the weekends?"
I nodded.
"Go there, I'll be there soon" He kissed me on the forehead. He gave me our dagger, he'd teach me self defence for an hour everyday except Wednesdays when we went out for ice cream and the park.
"Okay, I'll see you soon"
"Love you, goodbye Petal" This was his nickname for me.
"I love you too" He gave me some pound coins to get myself some snacks and a drink for on the way there.
I soon left after putting on my black jacket and my backpack. I put my earphones in and listened to my favourite songs from the IPod he'd bought me for my birthday.
After walking about 10 minutes, I stopped at the corner shop, which was run by my friend Tex and his dad.
"They arguing again?" He asked, curious.
I nodded "Dad told me to go to the cabin" I replied, sadly.
"Can I come? We can have a movie night and play games and stay up all night" he replied, excitedly, wanting to cheer me up.
"Dad doesn't usually mind so I guess we can, what did your dad say?" I asked, a little happier.
"One minute, I'll go see" He ran behind the til and up the stairs.
I began dragging a shopping basket around the small shop, filling it with a drink and some sweets and crisps. The hound behind the til was Tex's big brother, he leant over and picked up the basket for me, I wasn't strong enough.
"Thank you" I said to him nervously, he was massive and I didn't know him very well. I always forgot his name.
When I handed him the pound coins, Tex came back down.
"When are we going?" He asked with a huge smile on his face.
"We'll head there now, Dad said he wouldn't be long" I smiled back at him and his brother handed him the small bag of snacks.
"Carry the bag for the lady" He said to Tex, grinning.
"Yeah yeah whatever" Tex held the bag.

We soon set off for the cabin, talking and dodging all the cracks in the pavement until we got to the forest. We liked playing here, most Imps would give us mucky looks because we was opposite genders and he was a hound and I was reptilian. We weren't ever bothered though, we were best friends and we weren't going to let some strangers spoil our fun.

Soon, we found the cabin and I was now tired, so was Tex. It was now pitch black outside and I started to wonder where Dad was but I know he wouldn't forget about me so I wasn't worried. I gave Tex his blanket for when he stayed over, he'd sleep on my small sofa while I had my single bed.
We put our favourite movie on and slowly drifted calmly off to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up and stretched. Usually Dad would've woken me up since today  was a Wednesday and he always has something planned.
"M-my Dad wants to talk to you" said Tex, he had his phone in his hands. He sounded nervous.
He passed me the phone.
"Hello?" I was confused as to why Tex's dad wanted to talk to me.
"I'm sorry for your loss" He said.
Now I really was confused. "What do you mean sir?"
"Dear, last night Krystaliza was announced 'murderer'" he told me, sadly.
I stayed silent. I wasn't confused anymore.
"Do you want me to come and pick you and Tex up and you can stay with us for a while" He was really nice about it.
"No thank you" I replied. I could feel a painful sting come from inside of me. "I'm going to stay here"
"Are you sure, dear?" He asked, concerned about me being on my own.
"Yeah" I could feel my eyes begin to water
"I'll come by and pick up Tex, the funeral is next Wednesday" He informed me.
"Okay, goodbye" I put the phone down, unable to contain my sadness and started sobbing.
Tex came over to me and hugged me, letting me cry into his shoulder, I couldn't control my breath and began shaking.

After he'd gone, his dad dropped off some food, and I sobbed, cried and screamed into my pillow, begging all of this to be some sort of dream. I laid in my dads bed, he's scent was still on the pillows and blankets and that is where I cried myself to sleep.
