My phone was ringing at 3am, I sat up tiredly as I slowly looked around the room. Striker was fast asleep, snoring quietly next to me and I picked up the phone, I slowly rose from the bed and pushed my weight onto my feet, it felt like I weighed a tonne, I walked from the bedroom and into the living room/kitchen.
"Hello?" I asked, yawning.
"Hi Rose, we have a slight problem down at the club" The worried voice over the phone was Wally.
This immediately made me wide awake, Wally was never nervous about anything.
"I'll be there in 5" I put the phone down and quickly got dressed.
I slipped on a pair of jeans, a vest shirt and my usual checkered shirt. I writ a quick note for Striker before setting off.
Something went down
at the club
I'll see you soon

It didn't take long for me to get there on my bike. I took my helmet off and lit a cigarette, getting off my bike. Everything looked normal, apart from the few more girls outside than usual. I slowly walked over to them, taking a drag.
"Is everything okay in there?" I asked, curiously.
"There's another one of your folk in there, claiming you to be dead!" One explained "Were so glad you're okay mama"
If it's who I was thinking, I was going to be fuming.
"Girls, you know nothings gonna happen to me, it wouldn't be a very prideful place if it did" I smiled at them.
I owned 3 of the 7 places for the deadly sins. This one was Pride. Everyone who works and most that come here has something to be prideful of. I owned the anger-which was fight/training place, and greed- the casino.
"I'm going to go see who this motherfucker is, can one of you fetch me a drink, please?"
One of the girls nodded and went back into the club. I also walked in after putting out my cigarette.
I have Wally a nod to let him know I knew what was going on, and I walked slowly over to the booth with a hooded figure. Victoria handed me my whiskey, and sensed the tension, she soon scurried away.
"So" I began, rattling my tail leant against the table "I hear we have unfinished business"
"Indeed we do" the yellow eyes looked up at me to meet my gaze "we all do"
I felt multiple presences form around me. I laughed.
"I wouldn't try that if I was you. You're in my territory now" I threatened.
"Yeah, we will try. So don't make us" Hissed an unfamiliar voice
"Sit with us Rose" grinned Demitre. "Let us explain"
I was uneasy but I sat with my drink on the table, lighting a cigarette.
"Meet the Anaconda's"
One of the hooded figures took their hood down, showing me bright green eyes.
I stared in amazement, but why were they doing this?
Nothing about this made any sense whatsoever.
I looked carefully around the 5 serpents around me, feeling threatened.
"You lizards better get out of here-"
"I think you'll want to listen to us" Demitre mentioned. "If you'd like, we'll get straight to the point"
"Get on with it" I gulped down my whiskey.
"You're not any ordinary Boa"
"What do you mean?" I was confused now.
"You're young, but you're going to be the next Titanoboa"
"Yeah whatever hun" I lit a cigarette.
"We're serious" He had a stern look on his face.
I raised my eyebrow "So how could you mistake a Titanoboa for a regular Boa?"
"You haven't shedded yet" He explained "But you will"
"And how do you know that?"
"You have to go through great trauma and stress in order to activate the mutation"
I lit a cigarette "so how would you know if I definitely will?"
"Well, who was that other Reptile you was with? Your boyfriend? He won't be alive for long" Demitre had a grin.
"He's not my boyfriend- wait tf what?!" I panicked, I threw down my cigarette and began to run towards the exit of the club, putting my jacket and helmet on.
Fearing for Striker, my eyes began to water, he'd saved my life so many times, helped me through everything.
I jumped onto my bike and raced home as fast as I could, thinking about our movie nights with takeaways, or cooking together and making memories. As the tears ran down my cheeks, that's when I realised I had caught feelings and life would never be the same without him. I couldn't lose him.
When I got home, I rushed inside the house, my face and neck soaked in tears. Throwing my helmet off I ran into the bedroom.
To my discovery, he was stood up, wondering what was going on.
I couldn't believe it! He was alive!
My phone started to ring, I immediately threw it to the group and I leaped into Strikers arms, wrapping my tail around him and sobbing into his shoulder.
"Hey hey, what's up?" He held me close, stroking my hair.
"The Cobras and other Tribes came to my club and told me you was dead" I looked up at him with my blood shot eyes, still unable to keep a steady breath.
"You should know by now, love" He stroked my cheek, drying my tears. "I don't die easily"
He kissed my forehead as I cuddled him tightly to me.
