He went on his phone for a minute then looked up at me.
"You and my family are the only Reptiles I know, how many of us are there?" He asked, curiously.
"I'm not sure, I never met my real mums side of the family, Krystal had forbidden us to go and visit. But every now and again my dad said it's not a very nice place. Hence why most of us are quite vicious, I wouldn't mind going but there's apparently different tribes, that's why you have golden eyes and I have burgundy"  I explained, we caught each others gaze for a second before I looked down at the floor.
"Why don't we find them?" He asked.
I lit another cigarette and gave him one.
"My research said they live deep in the different climates, I've never ventured far enough. I stopped when I physically couldn't take anymore, I was stranded in the middle of the desert for a week with no food, water or sense of direction, until I followed a heard of boars back to one of the farms."
"I've lived in the deserts my whole life" he began "I could help, and I want to find my tribe too"
I thought hard for minute, I wanted to find our tribes, we couldn't find them without each other.
"Okay but you have to help me find mine" I told him
"Deal" he replied quickly, fairly exited.
"Get your stuff ready, you bring firewood and water, I'll bring a shelter and we can hunt for food." I told him "we'll meet at my cabin tonight and set off"
"Tonight?" He asked.
"Well personally, I'm not a morning person, and I don't fancy starting off in the scorching heat"
"Yeah that's true, you'll be surprised how cold it can get though" He answered.
"That's okay, I'll bring a blanket" I grinned and finished my drink.
"You want a refill?" He asked.
"Please, get yourself one to and say it's for Mama, you'll get it on the house"
"Okay, I'll be a minute, sugar" He got up and walked into the bar.
This sent shivers up my spine, I've never been called that before. But surely he had a girlfriend at home, I mean, look at him. I probably shouldn't think much into it.
Striker came back quite shortly and passed me my drink and sat down opposite me.
"So what's your life like anyway?" He asked me.
"Well you've basically already found out" I laughed softly "I don't have much of a life, it's just me"
"That's it? Just work? No one special?" He was surprised.
"My little sister is good company but yeah that's about it" I laughed "what about you?"
"I travel a lot, because of my career, and it's usually just me and BombProof" He answered.
"So you don't have anyone special either than?"  I giggled softly, taking a mouthful of whiskey.
"I did, but she started getting irritable" He began. "Before I went into bounty hunting, I wanted to own a club, similar to this, which you've done an amazing job by the way"
I smiled before he carried on "She wasn't supportive at all, she'd say that I could never do anything like that or it would fail and things like that, eventually she just got worse and one day I just got fed up"
"You don't deserve to have that said to you, look at how I started, now I own 5" I laughed softly "Don't listen to them"
He gave me a warm smile "and neither should you, sugar" he gazed into my eyes and I gazed into his.
