The Boy Next Door

I see a herd of people from my school walking out, just watching everything happening. As much as I don't want to face anyone right now, I need to stop Heeseung from doing something dumb. 

I take a deep breath before opening the car door to reveal my vulnerable and weak body to everyone. Even the cold night breeze makes me sway but I make my way to Heeseung without daring to look at anyone in the eyes. 

'That's her.' 'That's the one who Hyunwoo sunbae touched' 'she looks so weird.' 'omg thats chaewon though.'

This is all I hear as I make it through the crowd of people surrounding the paramedics and police. 

"Officer listen to me! This is defense of others!! Would you just sit and watch if someone was getting-" I hear Jay shout before Namjin pokes him while staring at me. 

"Chaewon, please get back in the car." Heeseung says while rubbing his temples. 

"Oh is this the lady who got sexually harassed? Can I speak to you?" the women cop says while pushing the male cop aside. 

"Uh sure..." I say while looking at Heeseung's stressed expression. 

"Dude just tell them your the son of Lee hospital and that you'll cover all the costs! Don't make this situation bigger." Jay says quietly to Heeseung although it's a pretty loud whisper. 

I walk away with the cop so I can't overhear their conversation anymore. 

"Please don't let him and Hyunwoo sunbae go to court or something." I plead knowing Heeseung, he wouldn't dare use his father to get out of this. He tries his hardest to cover the fact that his father is a rich business man and that going down the drain now seems like not an option.

"I'll try my best. All we need is your statement. I've asked other students but their all giving different answers like they don't know what to say. So what happened?" she asks not in a comforting way, but more over firm.

I get flashbacks on what happened making me shiver but I need to answer this correctly so Heeseung doesn't get in trouble.

"Hyunwoo was dared to do this. I h-have a boyfriend, everyone knows this but he still... he still did this. Heeseung was only protecting me as my friend, please don't let him get in trouble." I say before she starts writing notes and nodding. 

The male cop runs hurriedly over to her and says something, which I'm guessing was supposed to be a whisper but it's loud enough for me to hear.

"The suspects father is Lee Hansoo." the male cop exclaims. 

"Who's that and why should I care?" the female cop responds, making the male cop groan. 

"His father is the owner of Lee hospital and Lee law firm! He's the fucking most powerful guy in Korea meaning we all could be fired. Just tell the higher ups it was the Hyunwoo guys fault!" he says loudly while getting agitated. 

"O-Oh. Your free to go, Chaewon-sshi." she says before walking off with the male cop. 

"Wait. How did you find out who his father was?" I say to clarify. If Jay, or anyone told them, Heeseung would be so angry right about now.

"We just got a call from the hospital we were going to transfer the offender to. They said they would cover the costs and fees from Mr. Lee himself." she says before bowing and walking away. Oh thank goodness. Please let Heeseung be okay. 

I walk to Namjin, Jake, Sunghoon, and Heeseung who all either looked relieved or even more stressed then before. 

I keep my head down, not making any eye contact with anyone. All I'm gonna get in return is poor pity.
