Killer was sitting on the bed, getting ready to leave soon. He was ready to be able to sleep in his own bed. He was also curious about how Dust and Horror were doing and if one had gotten in any more trouble yet. Maybe he could help them out. I mean, they were his friends. He sighed and stood up. "How's everything going? You alright?" Error asked, walking in the room. Killer shrugged. "Yea, can't tell whether i'm ready to leave or i don't wanna go." he nervously chuckled. Error joined.
"Yea, I get that. Ink should be coming by any minute to get the kiddo's, then we're off to Nightmares." Error explained, mentionling to, what Killer presumed to be, the front door. "Oh, and do you mind talking to Gradient one more time. I think he's pretty bummed that you're leaving and, in his words, 'never coming back'. He enjoyed having you here for the little time you were here." Error explained, turning to leave. "You betcha." Killer said, immediately hopping up. It gave him something to do to take his mind off stuff.
He walked into Gradient's room to find him drawing, like usual. "Hey buddy, how's it goin'?" Killer said in a soft voice, walking up to him and sitting next to him on the bed. All he got in reply was, "Good." He sighed. Gradient was never the talkative type. Really kinda shy. That's why he was surprised that he had warmed up to him so fast. "Well, let me rephrase that. How are you doing?" K asked again, scooting a bit closer. "Eh? Just... eh." He hesitated like he was about to say something, but stopped.
"Hey, you'll see me again someday. Don't be all depressed dude." He chuckled, faking a smile on his face. Gradient shrugged. "That's what dad said. He always says that." He pouted, frowning at his artwork. Killer frowned and looked down at his feet, "...I get how that can be. Being told something so often that you stop believing it." Gradient shot up and looked at him.
"You do?" "Of course, we're more alike than you think. I remember back when us and the star Sans' were fighting constantly, Nightmare would always tell us that everything was under control and everything would be alright. I knew he was wrong. He had no idea what he was doing, but I let him keep telling us that." Killer explained. Gradient seem lost in thought. "So... what did you do? Just... sit their?" Killer nodded. "Yea. Even though I knew he was lying, I tried my best to try and make my mind believe him. Did it work? No, not really. But eventually everything did die down and eventually I convinced myself that he was right." "Wow." Gradient spoke.
"Alright kids, Ink's here!" Error spoke. Gradient awed and stood up. "I guess I gotta go now." Killer smiled sadly. "I promise i'll come visit whenever Error gets you guys back and I'm free. Now, come er'. I give you a little goodbye hug before you leave." He got down on a knee and opened his arms. Gradient smiled and jumped into his arms.
"Nighty, I don't want you to go." Dream cried. "Brother, we've gone over this. I'll only be gone for an hour. I'll be fine." Nightmare smiled, kneeling down to his level. "You don't know that. Wh-what if someone punches you. Why can't I go?" Dream whined more, jumping onto Nightmare and hugging him. Nightmare frowned and wrapped his arms around his brother.
"It's just a quick trip. ALl i need to do is pick up some groceries and get some supplies. Plus, someone needs to watch the tree."Nightmare giggled, tickling his brother to cheer him up. He chuckled and pulled away. "Nighty, stop it!" He said through chuckles. "Alright, Alright, you can go." Nightmare grinned and stopped. "Alright, watch over the tree for me. Alright? I'll be back in an hour."
"Alright, kids are gone. Time to go." Error said, breaking him out of trance. "Oh alright. Let's go, I'm sure they'll be waiting or something." He responded, standing up and walking over to Error. In an instant, they were back in the mansion's living room. "OH THANK GOD YOUR BACK! NIGHTMARES TORTURING ME!. He immediately heard. Horror. He immediately tackled Killer into a hug. He never hugged anyone. "Welcome back." Dust steady voice came from the side. "Oh, and you to Error." Error nodded and walked out, obviously to go see Nightmare. "Horror decided it was a good idea to test Nighty again so now he's tormenting him to teach him a lesson." Dust explained, going back to what he was doing.
He was currently cleaning the tv. That explains why no one was there. Usually everyone would hang out there and watch tv. They'd even fight over the remote. Horror appeared to be in the middle of dusting the shelves. It was looking kinda messy but he figured it would probably get better. Most of the time things get more messy before they even start looking clean.
"Well, I can't say I expected anything else when coming back so uh... sucks to be you, I guess." Killer muttered out, looking at the two blankly. "Oh, guys, sneak into my room tonight at Midnight. I've got something I need to tell you two.
Trust me, you'll wanna hear this."
