"Ow." Killer mumbled as he woke up. He quickly realized he wasn't lying on his usual comfortable bed. He was on something incredibly hard... and cold. He grumbled, sitting up. He was on a marble floor behind bars. He had been here before. The Star Sans' had captured them. Why tho? It didn't matter. "Well good morning sunshine." He heard a gravelly voice behind him say. He turned around. Horror. He also saw Dusk and Cross sitting back to back in the corner.

"Oh, shut up. What happened?" Killer grumbled. Horror sighed. "Act like I know. I know just as much as you, if not less-" "I'll tell you." They heard from the other side of the bars. Dream. "DREAM? Aren't you supposed to be the good guy? Why did you kidnap us?" Horror yelled, gripping the bars and staring at him. "I am. But you guys had me thinking, what really happened with Nightmare? So, I wanna test something. This just so happens to only work if you 4 are captured." He explained, backing away from the bars.

"So what? We just stay here? Wait for Nightmare to 'come to our rescue' like some kind of hero?" Cross growled, glaring at him. "Well, if he actually cares about you guys like he cared about me when we were kids, then yes." Dream explained. "Dude, if you wanna talk to him then just do that. He won't just wander into one of your traps though. He's not dumb." Killer explained. "No, it's got a much deeper purpose than that. You'll see." And with that, he walked backwards, disappearing into the darkness.
"Well shit. What do we do now? Knowing Nightmare, he doesn't care about us that much. Only reason he might save us is because he has no real team without us." Horror grumbled, sitting down again. Killer sighed. This was quite a predicament. They couldn't escape. He had tried and failed many times before. Was Horror right? Would he only 'save them' because he needed a team. Did he actually care? No, he must. Otherwise, he would have killed them by now. He knew his backstory.

He ate the apple because he was fed up of being bullied and needed to defend himself. Or, at least, that's what it came off as. He also knew Dream and Nightmare used to be really close as kids. Closer than most siblings. Then why did Nightmare just abandon Dream after he ate the apple. Was it the fear of Dream hating him because of it? Highly unlikely. I mean, he literally fought against him and faced him so much. Maybe Dream has let the bullies bully him at one point.... No. He wasn't like that. Come to think of it, what exactly happened after he ate the apple.

"Hey, you've got that face on when you're deep in thought and confused. What are you thinking about?" Dusk asked, sitting down next to him. Killer brought his knees up to his chest and sighed. "I just don't understand what happened between those two. They used to be so close. They used to care for eachother. He's got emotions, he can feel, then why doesn't he show it? And what happened after the apple? And why me? A few days ago, I didn't even care to know his past. Didnt even wanna search his room with you guys. Now I know all this information, but there's holes everywhere and unanswered questions. It's just so... confusing." He vented. Their was a lot going through his head. "I understand. This is a lot of information. Maybe Dreams got some of those same questions and he just wants answers. Maybe that's why we're here." Killer shook his head. He couldn't decipher it. All he could ask was why.

"Unhand me Dream!" They heard. They got Nightmare. Finally, they could see him, Ink, and Blue emerge from the darkness. Ink was at one of his arms and Blue at the other. Why was he just walking so willingly with them? He didn't even wanna look. He could see Dust glance at him as Horror walked over to the bars to greet them. Dream appeared right at the bars. "Hello brother." He said, staring at Nightmare. FInally they stopped a few feet away from them.

"Don't call me that. What do you want from me? Why did you take them? We haven't done anything wrong yet." Nightmare asked. "Oh, well simply put, i've got some questions and if you refuse to answer them or answer falsely, then your little minions get it. After that, I'll let you all go. Sound like a deal?" He explained. Nightmare glanced at all of them in the cage then back at Dream. "What do you mean 'get it?' What did you do to them?" "You'll see, deal or not?" Nightmare grumbled, struggling a bit in Inks and Blues grasp before looking back at Dream. "Fine. You better keep your end of the bargain though."
"Very well, let's think back to the night of the incident. What did you do after you ran? After I lost sight of you?" Nightmare sighed, "I ran and hid in the nearby cave." He could see Ink's eyes glowing. Could he tell if he was lying or not? Ink put up a thumbs up. That probably meant it was true. "Hm, interesting. Why did you run instead of facing me and explaining the situation to me?" Dream asked, walking closer to Nightmare. "None of your business. So what I ran? What does it have to do with you?" He snapped. "Blue." All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain in my soul. It hurt like heck. I grunted and clenched my shirt. "SHIT!" Horror yelled, dropping to the ground.

"Fine! I ran because again, you weren't their to protect me so I didn't even feel like facing you. Happy?" They heard. The shock stopped. "Again? What do you mean again?" "Are you dumb? They lured you away so they could beat me up, idiot. And you never once tried to protect me and stay and stop them like I would have. Why do you think we grew apart? Why do you think I fight you now?" I shot up. That makes sense. He appeared to always be gone when he was getting jumped. "Hm...." Dream hummed. "Your a bitch dream! Not only are you invading his privacy and hurting us, but you're not even sorry for it!" Horror yelled.

"Shut up, I know what I'm doing. Nightmare, do you actually hate me?" Nightmare grinned evilly, "Yes. We may have been close as kids, however, we've both changed and I no longer wish to be your brother. Sadly, I can't just change that so for now, we remain enemies." Dang, that would be a real hit to the soul if I was Dream. This hurts to watch and listen to. Their was no getting away. "Well then, we have shared feelings. But, let's talk about your pack over here." Dream said, looking at Killer. Or, close enough to Killer that it looked like they were making direct eye contact.

"How did this whole... shabang come to be?" "I found them all and decided that we all had shared goals. Now, they just work for me. I'm the boss, what do you expect?" Thumbs up from Ink. "But do you consider them, at all, your friends? Like how we used to be?" Dream asked. Nightmare hesitated, as if in thought. "...No, I don't." Now that was a hit to the soul if any. They had so much fun together. Ink held a thumb up to prove it. Dust looked at Killer. He also looked hurt, but not much. "Duh. You really are an idiot." Horror chuckled. "Very well, that's it for now I suppose. Let him go. He saw Blue and Ink drop Nightmare's arms, then they were teleported off.

Their was an awkward silence once they got back. No one moved, no one talked. They just kinda sat their. Eventually Error walked in. "Um... what happened here?" He asked, watching the scene in front of them. "Got kidnapped, just got back. I'm gonna... go take a nap." Killer said, finally standing up. "I'll go fix breakfast then, I guess." And with that, Killer got up and went back to his room. It was like he knew what the answer would be, but it hurt a lot more to see and hear out loud.
