That is the end of Regency in Diagon Alley, an Inglorious Bastards Story. Thank you for reading all seventy-five chapters plus the prologue and epilogue. The inspiration of Regency in Diagon Alley was mostly because I was watching Bridgerton and Emma, then I was reading about the Georgian and Regency Era, then I re-watched Outlander and Game of Thrones. The world building is mostly influenced by Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (obviously), the division of lands in Game of Thrones, the Ministry's rules is based off the Roman senate, and some ideas came from Sarah J. Maas' world building.

RiDA is mostly a character driven story, as George R.R. Martin said, "I've always preferred writing about grey characters and human characters. Whether they are giants or elves or dwarves, or whatever they are, they're still human, and the human heart is still in conflict with the self." RiDA is a story of the human heart, and the Regency Era (a time of duty out weights love) fits the plot setting for it. I enjoyed writing Carina and Theodore's characters in this because of the inner conflicts they have, their decisions are always flawed and questionable, and those around them all influential personalities (Grindelwald especially).

Most of all, I enjoy writing about the Blacks. Walburga and Regulus, especially, as the two have far more complicated inner conflicts. With Walburga, I took inspiration from a person I know personally; they fear that the people they love would make the same mistake as they did so they are cold and hard towards them. Then there is Regulus, who – I would admit – is mostly inspired by a problem that I was facing recently. The inner conflict of hating oneself, the fear of being alone, and the burden of expectations.

Then, there's Grindelwald – who I also enjoyed writing. His dialogues are more philosophical as it dwells with what is right and wrong, which to others makes sense and then to the other half does not. His arc is mostly finding peace and redeeming himself, and I believe giving Theodore his freedom and the chance to go back home while he is imprisoned for life is a good way – it balances the punishment for his crimes and the reward for his redemption.

All these characters have a major influence at the main duo (Roman especially as he serves as their moral compass). All have their ideas of what is right and what is wrong, which Carina and Theodore would have to decipher if it good for them or not, if they are to follow the other's advice or not. They are not perfect people, but that's what makes them human.

Thank you for reading Regency in Diagon Alley. Just as I said, it is a preparation for the original story that I am writing as I am basing the world building here, and it mostly a way for me to figure out what kind of writer I am – I am a Gardener type of writer, and I enjoy writing character-driven stories. Thank you for the support, and I hope you guys stick around to read more Bastard stories because who knows, you'll never know when inspiration strikes, also there is a Regency-Theo short-story that I am working on and will post here and in the Little Mischiefs book.

That's all. Again, thank you for the support.

Stay safe.
Stay strong.
