21 : Exhausted

(Eddie pov)

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I yelled at Jason.

"I came here to apologize Munson... I'm... sorry." Jason said

This was all an act. He was probably trying to seem nice so that Chrissy would get back with him.

"Sure you did." I said sarcastically.

How was Jason Carver apologizing to me? The freak.

"You should be lucky Hope was still here." Gareth finally spoke up

"Why's that?" I asked

"Because she's the one who made sure he didn't come alone." Gareth said

"Yeah 'cause for some reason she doesn't trust me." Jason mumbled under his breath

"For good reason! If I bullied you for years and beat the crap out of you relentlessly because of no reason, spread shitty rumors about you because you weren't popular, called your girlfriend names, told everyone your darkest secret-' I needed to breathe, I was yelling at this point and talking so fast I forgot to inhale.
-' and if you and Chrissy were still together and actually loved each other I don't think she would've trusted me either!' I finished

"Uhhh... I don't know what to say Eddie. I'm a shitty person. I probably wouldn't forgive me either if I were in your shoes.... I am sorry tho." Jason said quietly

"Good for you. Get out." I said very annoyed

"K." Jason mumbled

Jason walked out of the room when I said something that I probably shouldn't have

"I hope Chrissy gets better! Not that'd she's want you back even if you were the last person on earth! She'd have a better chance with that Fred guy! Ya know the reporter!" I yelled

"Fuck you Munson!" Jason yelled about to punch me but Gareth stopped him.

"Back off man." Gareth said

"Fine but only because your girlfriend kill me if I laid a finger on you." Jason mocked

"Your lucky I don't kill your myself Carver." Gareth threatened

"Like you'd do anything." Jason said walking into the hall.

"That was... interesting." Gareth said laughing

"That's one word for it." I said

The phone rang.

Gareth answered it

"Hello? Oh. Ok yeah, when? Ok. On my way." Gareth said

" everything okay?" I asked

" yeah I gotta go tho. Who do you want up here?" He asked

I looked at the clock 2:00. Definitely morning.

"No one, let them get some rest." I said

I knew Hope wanted to see me again but I also knew she was probably exhausted.

" ok I'll let them know but she probably won't leave." He said

"I know but she needs to sleep at some point." I said

"Alright. Night Eddie." He said

"Goodnight Gare'." I said

(Hope pov)

Gareth came back in.

"Eddie says to go to bed." He put simply

"Fine but I'm seeing him again first." I said knowing I wasn't getting out of it.

I walked up to the elevator and was inside before anyone could tell me otherwise.

I walked to Eddie's room and laid down on his bed beside him.

" you need to rest baby." He spoke softly stroking my hair

"I know but I don't wanna leave you." I said

"I don't want you to leave but you need some sleep... you're exhausted." I said looking at

"...so?" I asked him

"Go to sleep please. For me?" He said smiling

"Fine. But only for you." I said putting my hand on the back of his neck.

I leaned in and stopped inches away from his head

He pressed his lips against mine and I intertwined my fingers in his hair.

"Hmm." Nancy said from across the room.

I pulled away instantly and chuckled awkwardly.

"Uh... how much of that did you um... see?" Eddie asked

"Just the smooching." Nancy said laughing.

"What are you doing here anyways Nance?" I asked

"I came here to check on you. You've been up here for a while." She said

I opened my mouth to talk.

"You seem fine tho." She said

"Did you think she wouldn't be? She's with me." Eddie said

"No not at all, I was just wondering what was taking her so long. I know you wouldn't do anything to her." Nancy said thinking Eddie was serious.

Then Eddie started laughing.

"I was kidding but thanks Wheeler." Eddie said laughing.

"Ok well let's go. Your tired I can see it." Nancy said

"I'm not-' I held in a yawn. '- tired." I said

"Go to bed darling. You're freakin exhausted." Eddie said softly

I kissed him again. "Goodnight Eds."

"Goodnight sweetheart." He said

I walked out of the room with Nancy and we went to the elevator.

Once the elevator opened, we went inside and Nancy didn't press a button.

"Soooo, I'd say it's going pretty well with Eddie?" Nancy said teasing

"Yeah it is. He's amazing." I said

"What about Johnathan? How's it going with him?" I asked

"Good, we um... we got to know each other more." Nancy said while her face got red.

"Uh huh. Uh, anyways how's Will doing?" I asked.

"Good. They're dog did pass away not to long ago but uh other than that he's doing fine." Nancy said

"Oh. Tell Johnathan I'm sorry for his loss of a pet next time you see him. Please." I said

" yeah of course." Nancy said

"Thanks. Can I stay with you tonight? I'll need a ride tomorrow morning but I think Gareth would give me a ride." I said.

"Yeah sure. Wanna see if Robin can come again?" She asked

"You mean mrs. Fall-a-lot?" I ask laughing.

"Yeah." She said laughing as we walked out of the elevator.

"Wayne, ima stay with Nancy tonight. Unless you want to go home and I can stay here with Eddie." I said

"No I'll stay here, you can go stay with Nancy tonight." Wayne said

"Ok thanks soo much Wayne! Call this number if anything happens to Eddie please." I said giving him a price of paper with Nancy's number on it.

We walked to the car and drove to Nancy's house.

I got out and walked up the Nancy's room to go to bed with Nancy following.

"Goodnight Nance." I said

"Goodnight." She said

I drifted off to sleep.
